I am looking for up to two highly skilled and motivated individuals to work with me as full-time research professionals for a period of at least one year. The start date is subject to negotiation, but may be as early as 1 August 2024.

You will work with NUS Business School Professor Karsten Müller at the Department of Finance. For the most part, you will support Karsten’s ambitious research agenda on the link between credit markets and the real economy. This work uses macro and micro data and cutting-edge statistical methods to understand the drivers and consequences of who in the economy receives credit. Among other things, you will help to (a) construct novel data sources to measure credit market conditions, (b) analyse data to document the role of credit markets in recessions and stock market crashes, and (c) analyse the effectiveness of financial policies and credit subsidies in stimulating economic growth.

You will work with us on a variety of tasks, including data collection and analysis, statistical programming and data visualization, conducting literature reviews, summarizing research findings and policy documents, and editing research papers. An important part of this position will be managing several small teams of part-time research assistants. As such, this position is ideal for individuals with strong interpersonal skills, the ability to manage themselves and others, and an interest in economic research.

• Key support to senior management in developing plans for financial growth, including setting KPI’s, budgeting and cash flow planning based on its revenues and other financial indicators.
• Manage Project Cost Accounting to track costs of respective projects closely and highlight any discrepancies or extraordinary increases/decreases to Management. Work closely with Operations and recommend cost control measures, if any, to reduce costs.
• Oversee HR Department and assist in payroll related matters
• Ensure timely & accurate submissions of CPF and income tax (IR8A & IR21) matters etc.
• Perform others duties as assigned

Job Requirement

• Degree in Accountancy or equivalent Professional Qualification ( ACCA / CPA)
• Familiar with MOM regulations and HR practices
• Good interpersonal and communication skill
• Minimum 3 years accounting experience and background
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• IT savvy and good with MS office application
• Knowledge in Sage system is an added advantage

You will be part of the GetGo Fleet Quality Team to oversee and manage GetGo’s fleet, partner workshops, and insurance-related matters. You will collaborate closely with our affiliated workshops and insurance providers to oversee fleet quality and delivery schedules, ensuring the delivery of the highest fleet quality to our users. You will also support the Trust & Safety (User Trust) team with quotations on accidents and damages.

Day to Day Activities

• Assess damages on GetGo vehicles and work closely with internal teams for any subsequent actions to be taken
• Manage and follow-up with affiliated workshops to monitor and ensure smooth delivery of GetGo vehicles in a timely manner
• Collaborate with various teams including but not limited to our Fleet Operations, Trust & Safety and Finance teams for issues pertaining to Fleet Quality
• Liaise with insurers pertaining to insurance matters such as accident reporting, investigation, and repudiation issues
• Generate quotations for accidents and damages to our fleet based on photographs provided by customers and our internal teams

Who We Are Looking For

• Minimum two (2) years of experience in either workshop or motor insurance environment within the automotive industry
• Ability to assess and prepare estimated accident and damage repair quotations preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Familiar and comfortable working with MS Excel/Google Sheets
