The packer position is responsible for the packing and wrapping of finished products, in accordance with client packing specifications. The packer is also responsible for the movement of materials within the department and for storing or staging materials in designated areas.

2-2-3 12-hour Straight Nights, 7:50-7:50!

Every other weekend off!

$16.30/hour with $0.50 night premium!

Maintain day-to-day planning, ordering and expediting of raw materials and supplies, and then communicate results to all appropriate departments. Schedule and maintain work center schedules to accommodate customer orders.

 

Job Requirements:

·         High school diploma or equivalent, Associate degree in a related field preferred

·         Initiate supplier corrective action using supplier feedback forms and verify responses are received

·         Verify Purchase Orders have been received and allocate part numbers and stock items

Job Description

The role of the Manufacturing Supervisor is to manage shift production in achieving safety, quality, service, waste, productivity and culture goals. This will be achieved through providing strong leadership to the team and managing the systems, equipment, people, and materials according to the established policies, procedures, specifications, and customer requirements.  

This position is a night shift supervisor (6PM - 6AM) in the Press Department. The work schedule is a 2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off, schedule.

• Acts as a safety leader and puts safety first in all responsibilities. Works in conjunction with the EHS Manager to establish and maintain all policies and programs to assure a safe working environment.
• Monitor colleague practices to ensure they comply with regulatory and company safety and quality policies.
• Investigate and recommend improvements related to near miss, property damage, or employee injury incidents.
• Support plant safety programs by actively participating in daily audits, GEMBAs, incident investigation and continuous improvement programs.
• Monitor products to verify conformance to specifications.

• Manage employee timecards and time-off requests to ensure accurate payroll and adequate coverage.
• Champion continuous improvement projects and ensure gains made from initiatives are sustained.

• Manage daily production schedules, providing recommendations on areas for improved efficiency.
• Evaluate equipment and material problems and interact with Maintenance, Process Engineering, and others to resolve them.
• Investigate and report when production standards are not met.
• Analyze production information using the production dashboard and SAP.

The primary role of the MPI Engineer III is to implement and lead standardization & continuous improvement initiatives that improve safety, service, quality and cost. This position will have a focus on manufacturing process improvement. Incumbent will provide process expertise and support to the plants and will participate on and/or lead Process Standards Teams to ensure horizontal expansion of best practices across AFNA.

The Project Engineer – Software leads and manages the engineering team. Responsible for driving continuous improvement efforts across different engineering disciplines. The Sr Principal Engineer - M&S is a technical leadership role. Performs simulation activities using CAE tools to model, analyze and provide creative, feasible solutions to problems encountered in product development. Communicates simulation methodology, inputs, assumptions, results and recommended actions to design engineering and leadership verbally and through written reports. 

YOUR IMPACT:  

• Create models and preform analysis on new or existing products (vehicles and vehicle subsystems, aerial and other vocational segment products) using CAE tools such as ALTAIR suite of analysis software.
• Propose appropriate simulation approaches and methodologies to maximize customer value.
• Maintain effective communication with internal customers on project scope, technical approach, timing, and results. 
• Provide clear interpretation of simulation and analysis results to customers through technical reports and presentations.
• Provide technically feasible approaches for product improvement to result in improved performance and weight / cost reductions based on analysis and experience.
• Follow established best practices and modeling methodologies to ensure a consistent approach.
• Conduct duties in an ethical, professional manner consistent with the Oshkosh Way and defined policies and procedures.
• Work independently and as part of a team to complete work and meet established and agreed upon deadlines.
• Collaborate with test engineering teams to develop and support system and subsystem testing.
• Perform correlation of test data to simulation results to identify opportunities to improve simulation methodologies or identify test related issues.
• Proactively develop scripts, programs, and methodologies to improve the performance and efficiency of simulations.
• Provide mentorship to less experienced team members.
• Direct and assign projects to team members based on experience, workload and priority.
• Evaluate new software and tools.
• Proactively provide leadership in the development and maintenance of standard work, best practices and new methodologies.
• Understand and coordinate projects requiring cross M&S discipline or co-simulation approaches.
• Lead efforts for conducting Design of Experiments (DOEs), sensitivity analysis, and robust design practices for assigned projects.
• Able to understand and clearly articulate the capabilities of the M&S team and recommend best value simulation approaches depending on customer need.
• Stay current in industry trends and state of the art developments in analysis methods applicable to Oshkosh products and applications.
• Familiar with utilizing High Performance Computing (HPC) centers to optimize and run advanced simulations efficiency.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Regular on-site attendance is required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  

• Accredited bachelor's degree in engineering or related field with eight (8) or more years of related experience.

STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Accredited Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or engineering Mechanics.                                    
• Familiarity with CAE tools and programming language.
• Adept with CATIA, SMARTEAM, ALTAIR Software
• Non-Linear FEA Experience
