Role Summary:

This position is responsible for all aspects of accounting and tax operations, including the development and maintenance of accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. The role also involves ensuring adequate controls and governance over business operations processes.

Main Responsibilites:

• • Overall responsible for performing accounting functions including general accounting (from internal/external communication, data processing), management accounting and financial accounting by finance system operation, AR, AP & GL management, payment & collection management, intercompany transaction management, month-end balance reconciliation etc.
  • Treasury (Bank, Collection & Payment Management), Monthly Cash flow.
  • Handling/reviewing accounting data entries into system.
  • Fixed asset management.
  • Prepare working files for reporting forms, consolidation, statutory in compliance with Financial Reporting Standards and relevant standards, rules and regulations etc.
  • Prepare for /support response to Internal/ External Audit.
  • Design and operation of Internal control relating to accounting procedures.
  • Tax filing (Corporate tax, GST etc.)
  • Overseas branch management (from internal/external communication to system entry).
  • Vendor, Customer and system master management.
  • Performing/ Supervising AR, AP and expense claim process.
  • Manage communication, build collaborative trust and focus people on the results.
  • Support Managing Director with compliance and ad-hoc reports.

Requirement:

• • Minimum Bachelors’ Degree in Accounting/Finance/ACCA
  • Minimum 4 to 6 years of relevant experience with Supply Chain / Freight Forwarding / Logistics / Job Costing background will be a bonus.
  • Should be a self-starter, able to demonstrate sound judgment and versatility in decision-making and problem solving.
  • Capability to work efficiently in remote and matrix environment with ability to operate collaboratively across multiple stakeholder groups / boundaries.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES

Issuance of invoice based on Order to Bill (O2B) process standard policies and best practices in line with SGS customer and contract requirements.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITES

• Compiles, computes and records billing, statistical data, and other numerical data for billing purposes.
• Ensure all sales orders are opened in a timely manner.
• Complies with Internal Control System throughout the billing process.
• Assist, coordinate and cooperate with business to ensure the quality and timing of invoicing.
• Operate 3rd Party customer web portals.
• Receive, analyze and issue credit note request in line with the approval process.
• Sending, archiving and following up of invoices.
• Monitor open sales orders daily.
• Perform daily duties as outlined by the Billing Manager.
• Assist in month end closing and internal/ external audit requirements, providing all required documentation.
• Make continuous improvement and innovation through investigation and recommendations to designated supervisor.
