Responsibilities and Job Scope  

• Manage a designated list of Named Accounts in an assigned territory and demonstrate success at closing new logo and new business based on established new logo/new business revenue expectations. Demonstrate extensive knowledge of potential customers and competitors in this area.
• Timely data entry in our Customer Relationship Management tool.
• Orchestrate customer / Expeditors network relationship and collaborate with regional Product, Service, Geo, and Knowledge Management resources.
• Participate in the creation of value-added solutions for customers’ logistics needs, including supporting diagrams and cost-benefit calculations.
• Support the transition of new accounts through customer introductions, information transfer, and securing any necessary customer paperwork. When needed, support AR (accounts receivable) collection.

Reports to District Sales Manager

Key Deliverables

These are the minimum results expected from Sales Operations:

1. Manage monthly delivery of key reports to the District Sales Manager.
2. Manage weekly sales meetings, as directed by the District Sales Manager.
3. Organize sales events to drive existing and new customer engagement.
4. Ensure updated marketing materials are accessible to Sales team and create customer-focused PowerPoint presentations from various marketing material. Work with CHQ-Marketing team for customized content when needed.
5. Manage company visitors and arrange meeting schedules with sales team.
6. Deliver qualified sales leads to the team.
7. Deliver and coordinate bid response information requested by the local Sales team or the Expeditors network.
8. Provide rates and pricing support.
9. Attend training & development sessions to understand the requirements of Sales.
10. Organize training sessions related to Sales for your branch, as directed by the District Sales Manager.
11. Update CRM and ensure data integrity measurements are met for the branch.
12. Take on additional assignments, as required, in support of company needs.

Business Development

• Participate in development of business, sales planning, and growth strategies and develop Sales Proposal with sales pipeline to meet budget

• Develop and maintain a pipeline of potential customers by attending networking activities, conduct marketing activities, customer meetings, proposal development and customer presentations to deliver outstanding customer value

• Maintain awareness of competitor information and participate in industry association in accordance with company policy

• Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, product management) to develop proposals and present solutions that meet client needs.

• Ensure business sustainability via balancing of sales, profitability and collection.

Relationship Management & Account Management

• Develop and manage relationships with key accounts in the industrial automation industry.

• Maintain a deep understanding of customer needs/issues and ensure their satisfaction with solutions provided.

• Regularly engage with clients to assess their requirements and identify upselling or cross-selling opportunities.

• Manage and coordinate with key vendors and partners to gain competitive advantage through creation and development of customer in selected vertical markets.

Sales support

• Collaborate and work closely with Application Engineers to ensure smooth project development & implementation which may include risk assessment and provision of technical solutions to meet customers’ needs

• Manage the sales process to ensure customer requirements are properly qualified prior to investment of resources

• Diploma/degree in Engineering discipline (Mechatronics/Electrical)

• Knowledgeable in Windows applications (Word, Excel, Power Point)

• At least 3-years’ experience in Sales function

• Strong knowledge of automation solutions and their applications

• Excellent Interpersonal and Communication skills

• Experience in distribution sales or a related field is a plus.
