Quality Check & Outgoing

• Highlights non-conformance of production operation, semi process and finish products promptly to related personnel for immediate corrective actions.
• To control process deviation and eliminate the cause of quality products thus reducing unnecessary wastage.
• To carry out hygiene inspection and highlight any inadequacies.
• Carry out lab testing from incoming of raw material to finish products.

The Production Engineer is responsible for identifying and eliminating daily losses, reducing variability and increase predictability of results and productivity, while building the capability through supporting, coaching and engaging the shift teams.

Safety Health Environment:

• Reviews Safety performance in Operations Performance meetings Structure - OPS meetings, provides day to day solutions, roll out of best practices
• Understands relevant technical requirements in Safety Health and Environment. Coordinates all aspects of pollution control, waste management, recycling, environmental health, conservation and renewable energy across plants in close conjunction with the Global Safety Health and Environmental Manager 

Leadership:

• Leads and role models output of Manufacturing Operating System - MOS supporting roll out and further development with hands on approach
• Drive zero loss, defects and 100% engagement culture by leveraging continuous improvement approach
• Finding the correct resources to build competency in the shift team and ensures appropriate training is applied for new/improved processes when rolled out

Delivery & Cost:

• Collaborates with key areas to understand the Compelling Business Need - CBN contribution that will improve immediate daily business performance.
• Defines the most impactful projects on CBN which needs to be implemented.
• Source the appropriate support and route forward to lock improvements in place.
• Has daily engagement with shift teams to identify the opportunities by applying Manufacturing Operating System - MOS tools, (such as Root Cause Analysis, Kaizen, Defect tagging).
• Responsible for reducing process variability and improve process capability.

• Makes recommendations and follows up on finding agreement for rolling out of standards.

• Responsible for all electrical systems in the solar PV plant to ensure compliance with regulations and enhance system health.
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on solar PV systems, including DC and LV components and connections.
• Attend to electrical breakdowns related to solar PV systems, initiating fault diagnosis and corrective actions.
• Establish and maintain proper documentation and records through the provided channels for all corrective and preventive maintenance.
• Supervise and monitor any work related to the solar PV system performed by appointed contractors.
• Provide inspection reports, preventive maintenance reports, and any product warranty claim reports, including for inverters, PV modules, data loggers, etc.
• Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual operating reports detailing information about electricity production, efficiency, availability, maintenance performed, outages, inspection results, manufacturer-recommended services, replacements, control settings, and adjustments of equipment and protective devices.
• Liaise with government authorities such as the Energy Commission (ST), Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), and Visiting Electrical Consultants on all solar PV system-related issues.
• Responsible for submitting the Plant Performance Report to the Energy Commission (OAS System) on a monthly basis.
• Manage, maintain, and sustain the spare parts and tools inventory.
• Support and assist the project execution team during the installation phase of the solar PV system.
• Support and participate in other O&M-related work for Residential, Commercial & Industrial, and Large-Scale Solar projects as directed by the Engineer.

• Possess 1 year of working experience in an environment involving the operation and control of low-voltage electrical equipment.
• Possess sufficient knowledge and skills in wiring for LV installations.
• Extensive knowledge of electrical theory and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
• Possess sufficient knowledge of the Electricity Supply Act 1990 and its regulations.
• Possess a valid A0/A1/PW2/PW4 certificate from the Energy Commission (ST).
