The Department of Corporate Finance has been actively involved in insolvency practice since 2007, while our Partners have over 15 years of practice in insolvency. We are dedicated to helping businesses navigate financial distress and restructure for future success.

We are looking for skilled Legal Executives with a passion for Insolvency Practice to join our dynamic team.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee and manage insolvency cases, including liquidation, bankruptcy, and administration.
2. Prepare correspondences, reports, and presentations and attend to statutory meetings
3. Handling administrative and management of cash books and accounts of companies under liquidation and/or receivership
4. Conducting company searches and lodgements of documents/forms with SSM
5. Conduct financial analysis to evaluate the financial health of distressed companies.
6. Ensure compliance of legal formalities and ethical standards are adhered to with regards to companies under liquidation and/or receivership—advertisements, gazettes, liaising with insolvency department, etc
7. Liaise with creditors, debtors, and other stakeholders to negotiate and resolve financial issues.
8. Prepare comprehensive reports and documentation for court proceedings and creditor meetings.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Law.
2. At least 3 years of experience in corporate recovery & insolvency practice.
3. In-depth knowledge of corporate law, commercial transactions, mergers and acquisitions, contract law, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance principles.
4. Familiar with SSM, LHDN, insolvency compliance, accounting standards, tax laws, and filing procedures.
5. Exceptional report writing skills, with the ability to create clear, concise, and informative documents.
6. Ability to manage multiple cases and meet tight deadlines.
7. Able to travel when required
8. Ability to work independently and is a collaborative team player with attention to detail

3. Required languages: Bahasa Malaysia, English, Mandarin would be added advantage.
4. Proficiency in MS Office, with exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
5. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a keen eye for detail.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Job Overview:

• Research & Verification: Conduct research and verify information for hiring through phone and email.
• Documentation: Keep records of all information received.
• Liaison: Communicate with candidates and other contacts to gather more details.
• Reporting: Prepare research reports for review and report any issues promptly.

Key Skills & Requirements:

• Education: SPM, STPM, Diploma, or Degree.

Job Descriptions:

1. Closing of full set of accounts for company's clients in various industries such as trading of goods, service & manufacturing.
2. Setting up new chart of accounts and data migration in accounting system for new client.
3. Issuance of daily and monthly billing to clients.
4. Arrange twice a month suppliers payments via online banking.
5. Submit service tax once every two months via Custom portal.
6. Correspond with clients on any accounting, audit & corporate tax related issues.
7. Liaise with external auditors, tax agent and government agencies such as Custom, Immigration Department, LHDN etc.
8. Handle any ad hoc assignment as and when required.

Requirements:

1. Business Degree in Accounting or equivalent/Higher Diploma in Accounting with a minimum 3-4 years of working experience in related field.
2. Possess with positive working attitude, great personality, initiative, responsible, team player and able to work independently.
3. Versatile, agile and nimble person who is able to handle clients from different industries and adapt different accounting software.
4. Well-versed with accounting technical knowledge with various industries (ie. service, trading of inventory, manufacturing)
5. Excellent customer service towards internal and external clients.
6. Meticulous & detail-oriented personal with excellent organizational and time management skills and able to work under tight deadlines during monthly peak period.
7. Proficient in writing and communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
8. Mandarin-speaking candidate will be an added advantage.
9. Candidates well versed with cloud-based accounting systems such as Quickbooks, Xero, web-based SQL and AutoCount will be an advantage.
10. Candidates well-versed in stock management and invoicing using AutoCount will be an added advantage.
