Purpose of the Job:

Together with your manager and colleagues you work to support in your area in order to fulfil and optimise the recovery operations. You strive towards making a positive experience for our customers, so they will return and shop with us again over time. 

Job Responsibilities:

• You re-pack products meant for Back-To-Stock (BTS).
• You assemble products for store themes in the store.
• You handle quality claims of quality issues furniture.
• You scrap quality claim furniture following strictly the procedures.
• You sell As-Is furniture and serve customers in As-Is shop.
• You print and stick As-Is price tags on the furniture for sale in As-Is shop.
• You carry out some IT data entry works documenting the returned products into appropriate bins.
• You maintain a clean, tidy, organised work area and keep tools/equipment in good conditions throughout the day and also prepare it in readiness for the next day’s business.
• You support the handling and administration of returned and transferred products with the objective being to minimise loss and maximise profit.
• You work within the store to ensure that internal damages are minimised and the Recovery department supported.
• You work closely with your manager and colleagues to ensure everyone understands and contributes to the process with focus on prevention, revenue and sustainability.
• You always contribute to environmental, health and safety performance in my store and work towards securing compliance with the group risk manual in the recovery operations areas.
• You strive to minimise the financial loss of damaged in the store and try to maximise the financial recovery by repacking and moving goods back to stock or assemble, price and sell goods in the As-Is shop.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Custom Declaration

• Accepting and checking the instructions, information, and documents that enable the customs declaration to be made, in compliance with the regulations 
• Determining and assigning a classification in accordance with the regulations and customs procedures, which enables the amount of the duties and levies (the customs payment) to be established 
• Consulting the information system or the official documentation, in order to determine the documents to produce 
• Drawing up and entering the declaration in the internal and/or external system, in order to prepare, and then submit the declaration 
• Providing all the information required by the Customs Authorities.
• Delivering the necessary documents and the declaration to the Customs Clerk, in the event of an inspection or a physical check on the goods. 
• Assisting with, and taking part in the physical checks on goods carried out by the Customs Authority, if required. 

 

Customs Procedures and Regulations

• Playing a support role in the implementation of new regulations 
• Providing technical support to the sales staff when they canvass and visit customers regarding Customs matters

The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in scouting new business opportunities, deal origination, M&A incl. post-merger integration, while also contributing to develop and foster our external network to key players and advisors for growth and business opportunities. This role requires a proven seniority in strategy, venture capital (VC), private equity (PE), mergers & acquisitions (M&A), or a related field, with strong knowledge of the real estate and construction industry in Asia Pacific.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy & M&A:

• Support the Head of Strategy and M&A in Asia Pacific region with strategy development
• Collaborate with the Group Strategy team to implement strategic initiatives, including portfolio optimization, value creation and competitive positioning

Growth Strategy & Portfolio Management:

• Support the Chief Growth Officer and his team with deal origination and scouting activities by leveraging industry networks
• Work closely with Group Functions and local country organizations to leverage market and industry insights
• Support the Head of Umdasch Group Venturing in identifying industry trends, emerging technologies, and market disruptions
• Build and nurture relationships with key industry stakeholders, such as venture capital firms, PEs, start-ups, Prop- and ConTech, to foster an ecosystem of venturing and innovation
