Assistant Finance Manager (Construction Industry)

  • Able to handle full set of accounts and all financial reporting activities
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly closing and yearly closing of account
  • Able to analyze, understand and interpret basic financial data
  • Prepare financial analysis and update consolidation of accounts to ensure timely delivery of high quality and accurate financial data
  • Ensure financial and management reports and completed and submitted according to the schedule, determined by the management
  • Prepare inter-company reconciliation, bank reconciliation and monthly schedule (eg. Fixed assets listing, prepayment, accruals listing & etc)
  • Ensure accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness
  • Ensure accounting records and system are in compliance with company’s policies and in accordance with accounting standards and statutory laws and regulations
  • Manage cash flow to ensure proper cash availability
  • Review accounting entries to the general and subsidiary ledgers to ensure accuracy and compliance with the company’s and established accounting principles, controls all changes to chart of accounts
  • Prepare income tax returns
  • Detailed and organized
  • Able to communicate and interact effectively with people

Job Requirements

  • Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree in Finance/Accountancy or equivalent from a recognized institution
  • At least 5 years of relevant working experience. Experience in construction and property development industry is an added advantage
  • Hand on experience in handling taxation and statutory accounts; liaising with the external auditors, tax agent, government and other professional bodies
  • Detailed with excellent problem-solving skills, proactive and able to meet tight deadlines
  • Broad understanding of the technical issues and ability to keep up to date with new accounting rules and regulations
  • Knowledge in IFCA software will be an added advantage
  • Well versed in Microsoft Office software
  • Excellent command of English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin - Both verbal and written
  • Possess good analytical skills, meticulous, positive working attitude, committed, good interpersonal skills and follow up skills
  • Ability to build good relationships internally and externally
  • Multi-tasking is expected
  • Able to work independently under minimal supervision
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadline
  • Applicants must be willing to work at Puchong Bandar Kinrara
  • Preferably female
