Strategic Sales Deal Makers/Client Solution Executives have the overall responsibility for successfully selling and negotiating multi-year complex business relationships to senior client executives. They lead strategic sales engagements from qualification to closure, selling solutions to meet complex IT and business requirements. Engagements are characterized by a complex combination of technical, business, financial and human resource issues related to the strategic and tactical direction of clients and driven by need for change.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for managing large and complex deals from qualification to closure
• Develop the sales strategy for winning the deal and prepare and manage the engagement plan and associated deliverables
• Lead a multidisciplinary sales and solution team to develop compelling value propositions and solutions for specific customer opportunities
• Manage key client stakeholders and maintain an effective partnership with them leveraging IBM and business partner relationships
• Navigate IBM internal procedures without exposing the customer or IBM to any delivery/quality issues
• Maintain alignment with customers business strategy, drivers, and goals
• Lead the preparation of the deal financial construct and pricing case and ensure that it is aligned to client’s business case and IBM’s strategic priorities
• Lead the development of key deliverables such as proposals, SoWs, contracts, presentation documents etc.
• Ensure that solutions have been quality assured for a successful implementation and in compliance with IBM's strategy
• Lead client negotiations
• Coordinate and manage ecosystem partnerships that are relevant to the deal
• Provides leadership in the transition to delivery
• Act as a sales coach for sales teams in markets and help strengthen our overall strategic sales capability

• Demonstrated expertise in developing large scale technology-enabled business transformation program roadmaps with supporting business cases

As an Architect in IBM Consulting, you'll serve as a leader in defining solutions for clients. You'll be the advocate for the client while guiding the technical team to implementation.

You'll collaborate with client stakeholders and internal partners to understand the business problem and requirements, constraints of the system and concerns of the various stakeholders to systematically transform detailed solutions (architectures) for the client.

Your primary responsibilities include:

• Work with customers to help build applications at scale in the AWS and/or Azure Cloud that meet business requirements.
• Collaborate with the migration team in the analysis, design and implementation of technology solutions.
• Conduct analysis and proof of concepts for new solutions while working collaboratively through any issues that arise during the migration.

Requirement

• At least 3+ year experience architecting and solutioning leveraging a major Cloud platform.
• 10+ years of experience in infrastructure / development consulting.
• Cloud Certification.

This will aid clients to identify high value Cloud entry points (e.g. new applications, transforming existing applications or simply starting a Cloud sandbox that IBM helps them operationalize.)
• Expert level skills in guiding IBM project technical resources to design and implement Cloud solutions
• Expert level skill in Cloud technology, including hybrid Cloud solutions
• Deep understanding of Cloud as a PaaS offering including automation of deployment and containers.

Business Development Executives (BDEs) are responsible for the ongoing identification, development and qualification of large transformational outsourcing opportunities within assigned markets and industries. These opportunities need to be identified in the context of evolving situations constrained by costs pressures, competitions, digital native new entrants as well as change in customer behavior. Opportunities may be complex in nature as they may combine business processes, IT components and organizational transformations into a single, coherent solution and to succeed in the market, innovative state of the art solutions must be developed requiring multi-industry and multi-market knowledge and experience; out-of-the-box thinking.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for large deal origination and qualification
• Work with GBS leadership and IBM Industry leaders to initiate and conduct transformational conversations with C-suite, industry-shaping decision makers in our top accounts and select whitespace accounts with the aim of originating new transformational deals and build the GBS/IBM pipeline
• Prepare proactive (often unsolicited) and compelling CXO/Board level point of views and value propositions, including articulation of how these solutions drive value for our customers, leveraging our focus offerings and solutions
• Prepare compelling business cases to support the deal value proposition.
• Manage deal progression from origination to qualification. Work with GBS Sales teams to orchestrate the deal teams from across GBS and wider IBM organization and bring the best of the company together to maximize value to the customer.
• Qualify deals using a structured approach and IBM approved tools
• Prepare the deal stakeholder management plan and lead/coordinate stakeholder engagement actions with the account team
• Transition deal management to Deal Maker/CSE at deal qualification stage. Support the deal team during the post qualification phase and help negotiate and close the deal
