The Asia Pacific Indirect Tax Manager is expected to apply thorough grasp of the fundamentals of both VAT/GST and Import/Export Duty regimes to all the group’s manufacturing and commercial activities across the Asia Pacific Region (including for this role as Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, China, Japan, India, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Philippines, Bangladesh, Pakistan & Sri Lanka).

The role requires a Manager with an appetite for compliance, planning, advice, execution, tax agency management and project management skills. The ability to succinctly contribute to numerous projects at any one time, whilst keeping technically current is critical. The successful candidate does not need to have experience in each of the jurisdictions listed above, but must be able to demonstrate an ability to apply their knowledge in new markets.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure IMEx Forecasts produced are communicated to manufacturing.
• Plan replenishment of product to maintain supply service levels; manage the local S&OP process for defined brands (feeding in demand data to Area and delivering Area Supply Plan).
• Generate new forecasts, considering historical trends, and the information available from Marketing and Sales; provide challenge to the forecasts when necessary based on trend analysis, promotional and media phasing etc.; communicate changes in demand directly to Planners.
• Plan the Supply Finished Goods purchased from suppliers / intercompany; contributes to the definition of an appropriate inventory strategy to achieve the desired service level.
• Update, produce and publish reports including the monthly forecast accuracy report, monthly S&OP Gap initial and final reports and daily MTD sales reports; Provide SKU volumes to Finance for Business Forecasts and Plan.
• Work with supply manufacturing and demand planning to ensure production levels are at the appropriate level.
• Ensure inventory controls and levels conform within budgets and forecasts.

Reporting directly to the Data and Insights Lead, MYSG, you’ll be the linking pin between supply & demand to ensure product availability and maximizing service and fulfilment levels to our customers.

Also, you are the data champion in the eCommerce team leading the vision for fully integrated data reporting across e-channels for our sell in and out data.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure monthly accurate demand forecasting for distributors and customers, in collaboration with business development managers to ensure accurate forecasting & activity planning.
• Coordinate with the Supply team for monthly supply of Stock from Reckitt to Distributors.

The focus of this role is to work in conjunction with the ASEAN Senior Productivity Manager to drive Productivity in ASEAN region working closely with the finance team and business stakeholders in various countries in identifying, prioritizing and partnering with country and global team enabling the delivery of Productivity targets.

Responsibilities:

Forecasting and Budgeting
• Assist ASEAN Senior Productivity Manager in the development of the forecast, plan and other global financial requirements.

• Prepare the filing of GST, VAT, WHT, and CIT returns in accordance with statutory deadlines, ensure timely filing of all required deliverables;

Responsibilities:

A. Trade Investments Management:

• Managing the entire Trade Investments accrual and accounting for all 3 business of RB with a full control on the rationale of variance vs approved budgets, evaluating ROI for the spends to recommend future actions, Partnership with business to optimize trade investments & maintaining a healthy balance sheet with proper justifications on accruals, etc.
• Monthly TMLV preparation & approvals with details of trade activities and explanation on variance vs latest Forecasts
• Month end: Closing the Shipments (Basis the Distributor week cover), Trade spends for the month and closing the Net revenue in the systemMonthly trade investments variance reviews of actuals vs. forecast and to understand business reasons for variances
• Monthly/Quarterly closures with Account/channel heads of Trades spends accrual and accounting the same post approvals and sufficient documentation for the same.
• Administrator & Owner of TSM System: Managing the Trade accruals in “TSM Portal” and ensures the provision made in TSM can be supported and explained, able to show the over and under provision/spend by customers. Also, ensure sales team on the function and usage of the TSM
• Review of distributor stocks and engage with supply team to optimize the stock holdings. Also, work with the sales team to identify opportunities for clear SLOB/NEP. Strengthen control in trade returns charge to trade spend bucket and perform sufficient checks to minimize the activities.
• Monthly Reporting of IMS, Customer/ Channel P&L and other reports as necessary.
• Managing the Monthly Balance sheet of Trade Spends accruals with proper supporting, Ageing of accruals, etc. Also, assist in audits for the Trade spends related GLs for internal/external audits.

B. Trade Claims & Receivable Management

• Processing claims (through the team) & ensuring processing with proper approvals/ documentation as per RB policy.
• Ensuring collections are received from the customers as per the trading terms, any outstanding ageing items needs to be taken up with Channel/ Account head for a resolution.
• Monthly update on the status of the receivables with management along with ageing & reasons for the long outstanding.
• Advise and monitor sales team to resolve any customer outstanding claim disputes.

C. Commercial Orientation and FP&A

• Forecasting projections for sales/Trade Investments by working closely with channel/ Account heads & assisting Finance Director to accurately project the year.
• Assist Business team in simulating P&Ls for New product Launch, SKUs and review them before it goes for next approval to Leadership team.
• Loading the Yearly projections (for each Forecast / Plan cycles) in Fusion for all 3 GBUs
• Fusion GMVA for the month and Forecast/ Plan Scenarios for all Bus.

Requirements:

• Bachelor degree in Finance and/or Accountancy from a recognized university
• Preferably a member of CIMA/CPA/ACCA
• At least 5 years of relevant working experience
• Experience in managing a team of 4 to 5 people
• Knowledge of JD Edwards would be an added advantage

Responsibilities:

• Perform month end closing activities
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, supporting schedules, including month-end and year-end closing
• Working with various departments in PO accruals and ensure prompt follow-up on accruals status
