The role

Works closely with and under the guidance of the Software Engineering Manager, the role will be responsible to deliver product enhancements, improvements as well as addressing issues.

You will involve in analysing and building a technical understanding of GBG Fraud products. A key part of the role will be ensuring our projects are delivered to high standards of innovation, quality, and excellence as well as on time and budget.

What you will do

As part of an Agile development team:

• Be part of next gen product teams here in Kuala Lumpur, build up knowledge and technical capability to deliver features in line with the overall technical and product strategy.
• Deliver product enhancements according to the requirements and take part in new developments.
• Design, Code, Automate, and refactor codes, programs, scripts, and other software services.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and provide solutions to problems with newly developed software.

What we're looking for

Technical Skills

• Sound knowledge and experience with Java and worked within Sping Boot Framework
• Handson experience with RDBMS such as PostgreSQL Database applications (Database design would be an advantage).
• Experience with No SQL Database technology such as Redis (preferred) or Data Analytic Database such as Druid is strong added advantage.
• Knowledge of Lambda and real time streaming processing architecture.
• CI/CD, cloud and containers knowledge (Terraform, Kubernetes, Dockers, HelmChart and etc.) would be an advantage.
• Some Experience with Angular or other UI framework would be beneficial

The Cloud Network and Cyber Security Engineer will report to and assist the VP of IT Infrastructure and Security and will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and scalable cloud and on-premise network architectures. As part of the Infrastructure and Security team, this role will help lead cyber security efforts, securing our sensitive data and critical assets from current and emerging threats, and be the primary technical contact for all information security tooling, security risk and incident mitigation efforts, and documentation in our APAC region. The Role

A Database Specialist is pivotal in ensuring the efficient, secure, and reliable operation of our product/ customer databases. The scope of their responsibilities is extensive and involves a variety of tasks aimed at maintaining the integrity and performance of database systems.

What you will do

• Develops and maintains Database reference architecture and design documents
• Design, develop, and implement scalable On-premise/ Cloud-based database solutions
• Further establish and ensure Database standards (security, reliability, availability, and scalability) and procedures are met by our product teams
• Identify opportunities for Database infrastructure optimization and cost reduction
• Root cause analysis of production-related database issues
• Maintain development and production environments
• Develop innovative solutions to complex business and technology problems
• Perform physical implementation of databases, storage structures, high-availability solutions such as multi-AZ, replication, and disaster recovery solutions
• Manage, support and maintain both Cloud and On-Premises database environment as well as MS SQL Server databases and infrastructure, adhering to the architectural guidelines and policies
• Provide technical expertise and hands-on support in consolidation and migration of databases to new hardware and platforms

What are we looking for

• Experience performing Database administration or database engineering duties for database internals for SQL Server.
• Experience in supporting MySQL, PostgreSQL will be added advantage
• Experience supporting software engineering teams through the software development lifecycle
• Experience deploying, operating, and monitoring database infrastructure AWS/ Azure cloud environment will be added advantage
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
• A deep understanding of the cloud computing model as it relates to enterprise productivity
• Familiarity with AWS/ Azure Cloud products (EC2, EBS, S3, Lambda, Aurora, Dynamo DB, EMR, DMS data migration, Athena, Glue, Kinesis, SQS/SNS, etc.)
• Hands-on experience with operating high-uptime Databases in both AWS/ Azure and on-premises environments
• Experience with cloud database technologies (ie. AWS RDS, Oracle, MS SQL, Azure)

We are looking for a nAssociate Manager, Category to drive our mobile business in Malaysia.

This person is a data driven category specialist to drive growth for our Electronics Category including Mobile Phones and other gadgets. This person should be attuned to the needs of our users and be able to break down and solve complex business problems.

This role will report to the Category Director. 

You Will:

• Define the mobile category strategy. Undertake research and analyze data to deeply understand our category sellers and buyers and translate the insights to plans and communication.

• Grow the category in users and transactions, and generate revenue for the business. Work with stakeholders to set performance targets and ensure we are tracking and progressing to our plans. You will be responsible for P&L of this category.

• Conduct regular detailed analysis into search, browse behaviour, conversion funnels to identify possible areas of improvement of our product,  marketing comms, operations and sales strategy

• Be involved in development of the product, marketing, sales and operations to deliver on targets. 

• Identify and establish partnership with vendors to experiment and enable business models. Work end to end to build up this business. 

• Partner with product team to understand users needs to ensure we deliver a great user experience and that the needs of the category are addressed in roadmaps

• Partner with Marketing team to ensure that the category value propositions are communicated to our users to achieve business objectives

• Be responsible for defining and maintaining the category catalog
