What’s your Responsibilities?

License Application Management:

Manage and oversee the entire license application process, from initial preparation to submission and approval.
Ensure all applications are complete, accurate, and submitted in a timely manner.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local, state, and federal licensing requirements relevant to the company’s operations.

2. Regulatory Compliance:

4. Stakeholder Coordination:

5. Process Improvement:

Provide recommendations to management on best practices for license management and compliance.

6. Administrative Support:

Assist with other administrative tasks related to operations as needed, including filing, data entry, and correspondence.

7. Training and Guidance:

Train and guide junior staff or team members involved in the license application process.
Provide support and mentorship to ensure the team understands and adheres to licensing requirements and procedures.

The Requirements of the role:

Diploma / Degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
Min 3 years of experience in Operation Management.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a data-driven approach.
Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
Proven ability to adapt to change, manage multiple priorities, and work under pressure.

MAA Group Berhad (“MAAG”) is a Malaysian investment holding company listed on the Main Board of Bursa Malaysia.

In June 2016, the Group disposed of its 75% stake in MAA Takaful Berhad (now known as Zurich Takaful Malaysia Berhad), a subsidiary engaged in takaful business to Zurich Insurance. With this sale, the Group exited the local financial services sector regulated by Bank Negara Malaysia.

Current business activities of MAAG include; Investment Holding, Education Services and a general insurance business via MAA General Assurance Philippines, Inc.

Notwithstanding the aforesaid business portfolio, the Group is currently engaged in an extensive search for additional new core business(es) to further diversify its income streams.

As at 31 December 2018, the Group’s total assets stood at RM757 million.

This role encompasses all employee levels of the business. This generalist position is responsible for the full spectrum of HR functions as follows:

·To direct and manage all aspects of employment, Industrial Relations, Employee health, services benefits & welfare, wages and salary administration.

·Develop HR policy and direct/coordinate HR activities within hotel.

·Manage recruitment process, internal development and succession planning.

·Manage all aspects of Performance Management.

·Develop and maintain HR system where records can be retrieved.

·Keep records of benefits plans participation such as insurance, personnel transactions.

·Administer benefits programs such as life, health, dental insurance plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence.

·Responsible to prepare budget of HR operations.

The candidate

· Malaysians with tertiary education qualification in HR disciplines or Business Administration.

·Strong Human Resources generalist and leadership experience ideally from hospitality/hotel industry.

·Well versed in Malaysian labour law,IR Act and statutory requirements.

·Manage in-depth Industrial Relations issues.

·Good command of spoken and written English plus conversant in BM and Chinese/Mandarin.

Identify and remind internal control to safeguard assets.

3. Budget

Monitoring of actual result and capital expenditure requisitions against budget.
Assist in preparation, checking, revision and compilation of budget.
Prepare other ad-hoc analysis or projections as required by immediate superior/HOD.

4. Audit

Ensure timely preparation of year end accounts for audit.
Co-ordinate on audit schedules, debtors / creditors circulation and etc.
Preparation of schedules and other liaisons with auditors.

5. Policy, Process and Procedures

Ensure compliance to existing policy and procedures as well as Quality Standards.
Actively review and identify process bottleneck and recommend for improvement including automation of processes
Lead in inter-department liaisons in developing process and procedures and documentation of those policies and procedures.

6. To act as additional back up for CIT.

7. To act as relief for other executives or subordinates’ work.

8. Undertake other duties as directed by the Head of Group Finance.

Job Requirements

Qualification : Diploma in Accountancy or equivalent.
Experience : Minimum 3 years related working experience.

Prepare for meetings, write meeting minutes, drafting memos, and preparing communication and follow up with the respective stakeholders on their deliverables.

Provide travel support including booking of air tickets, business trips expenditure claims, maintain travel records, preparing itineraries and managing meeting schedules & appointments for overseas trips.

Organize, arrange and track personal travel arrangements (including family members): transportation, flights, visa arrangements, hotel bookings, etc.

Co-ordinate with overseas affiliated companies on General Manager’s appointments, schedule, and overseas business trips.

Logistics support for meetings, conference calls & events, including but not limited to tracking of participants’ attendance, booking of rooms, TV conference connection and printing of materials.

Handle selected visiting guests’ needs when in Malaysia.

Help and support with the coordination of events. Including but not limited to providing food service management and overall event support comprising of sourcing of external function space/ in- house catering/ restaurant booking, corporate gifts, etc.

Process outgoing and incoming mail, e.g.: arranging of parcels/ documents for national/international shipping (e.g.: DHL) & regular clearing of mails.

Maintain a record of expiration dates for passports, visas, driver’s licenses, car insurance and any other documents that require renewal with a specific appointment and date. This includes tracking deadlines, setting reminders, and ensuring all necessary renewals are completed on time to avoid any disruptions or penalties.

Perform other administrative duties and ad-hoc tasks / projects as and when assigned.

Maintain professionalism and strict confidentiality with all materials.

Be able to work under pressure.
