We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Software Engineer to join our team in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. The primary responsibility of this role is to maintain and develop test scripts for our HDD Validation Team. Given the seasonal nature of test scripting demands, you will also focus on automating and optimizing our testing processes and workflows. This typically includes, but not limited to, web development or Python scripting.

• Develop and debug HDD test scripts (e.g. Java, Ruby).
• Collaborate with test engineers to enable new testing methodologies.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues within test environments, providing timely resolutions.
• Develop features for our internally self-hosted web portal (MERN-stack).
• Help maintain high service availability for our servers and equipment.
• Design and implement automation solutions to optimize the team’s workflow.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain clean, well-documented code.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Documentation: SOP, WI, FMEA, OCAP and Control Plan for related process.
• Ensure effective hand shaking process of new device/product introduction to the line and new process technology capabilities developments.
• Support Automation and development for new automatic and robotic equipment qualification and sustaining.

• Ensure automation equipment in good performance to meet the goals on quality, yield, and cost, utilization and cycle time.
• Perform automation equipment conversion and set up. Observe 6S on daily job to ensure the continued and smooth production line.
• Able to conduct trainings to Operator/technicians on machine operation and skill improvement.
• Able to replace spare parts and machine buy off.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Factory Capex planning base on the loading forecast, Capex budget control and monitoring on capital utilization and efficiency.
• Productivity improvement project: Lead in cost saving projects such as Productivity improvement, cycle time improvement, MMR improvement, etc. to meet company goals.
• Capacity planning and analysis to meet the volume demand and maximize the plant utilization.

Job Description

This involves designing and developing reliability sequences for given technology node,  actual reliability test execution followed by Failure Analysis to root cause the issues reported. As a Test Engineer -Process, you will lead the Project improvement in Burn In area, and support execution and manufacturing issues related to Test Process, and continue improve manufacturing issues with new ideas from time to time through close collaboration across teams and disciplines. In addition, you'll drive Test Process improvements to make our systems more robust and scalable via systematic and proper tools.

As a Test Process Engineer, you’ll:
