• Review Quotation & Price / Purchase Order / Invoice Receipt / Payment Process: Ensure business continuity by reviewing and verifying the accuracy, completeness, and clarity of quotations, purchase orders, invoice receipts, and payment processes.
• Understand Semiconductor Processes and Pricing: Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes and related pricing structures.
• Manage payment: Oversee payment processes to ensure timely and accurate transactions, supporting smooth business operations.
• Support Data Monitoring and Analysis: Assist buyers in monitoring suppliers’ data, performing data analysis, and generating regular reports.
• Maintain Quotation Database: Regularly update and maintain the supplier contract and quotation database, ensuring it is accurate, complete, and up-to-date.
• Handle Ad-Hoc Tasks: Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Reporting to COE Director, this role will manage COE revenue accounting team to drive revenue operation and closing process with a continued focus on improvement to achieve best-in-class results.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Engage in and oversee various revenue recognition activities in accordance with US GAAP as part of the monthly close, including revenue cut-off, OEM rebate accrual, return reserve calculations, and sales confirmation process, etc.
• Managing the day to day operations of customer master set up and revenue operations to support Business Operations, Sales and FP&A teams.
• Work closely with Corp Revenue Accounting team and business partners from BU Finance, Sales Operations, Trade Compliance and IT teams to support new business initiatives.
• Reviews journal entries and various account reconciliations to facilitate the month end closing process
• Support the Sarbanes-Oxley documentation for key Balance Sheet and Income Statement accounts and relevant control activities.
• Proactively identify issues and assist in optimizing systems, upgrades, and automation of accounting processes
• Assist with quarterly reviews and annual audits conducted by internal and external auditors.
• Preparation of ad-hoc analyses and special projects as requested.

This individual is responsible for certain key contra-revenue reserve and reporting, to make sure current processes are compliant with SOX control. The individual will also work closely with internal stakeholders for system integration and automation projects.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Work with Pricing team to ensure proper Reserves Programs are set up in the system;
• Calculate and analyze monthly Customer Incentive Offering for revenue reserve requirements for all Western Digital revenue entities, and prepare journal entries to record reserve adjustments as appropriate;
• Analyze the reserve fluctuation to support business requirements;
• Calculate monthly Open RMA reserve accruals, and prepare and post journal entries as appropriate
• Reconcile contra-revenue related GL accounts
• Assist or lead related revenue projects to improve functional efficiency;
• Assist SOX Documentation Update and internal / external audits for Revenue function;
• Assist Revenue Accounting Manager and Sr Accounting Manager with ad hoc tasks as assigned.

This position reports to the COE Revenue Accounting Manager.  This individual will be responsible for calculation and analysis of certain key return reserves, manage proper revenue cut-off and other revenue accounting responsibilities across Western Digital subsidiaries.  The successful candidate will utilize excellent spreadsheet and analytical skills to prioritize workload and provide quality work under strict deadlines. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage proper revenue cut-off by performing incoterm test at quarter end
• Calculate and analyze quarterly product return reserve requirements for all Western Digital subsidiaries, and prepare journal entries to record reserve adjustments as appropriate
• Determine revenue deferrals associated with firmware and software upgrade commitments on current product shipments, and record in ERP system
• Manage reconciliation of revenue related GL accounts
• Serve as point of contact with internal and external audit team for quarterly revenue testing activities and assist with Sox testing as needed
• Assist with other Revenue projects or activities as needed
