Job Responsibilities:

This role is critical to support Security & Safety Manager in ensuring the safety of guest, associate, visitors/vendors/suppliers and property, work proactively to prevent theft and vandalism, responds to the needs of associate, offers assistance to those in need, provides excellent customer services, and takes direction from department supervisory/management associate. Work with potentially unpredictable individuals requiring that teamwork and effective communication with other security officers and associate are critical.

• Day to day security operations, implement and improve on security procedures and responsible for access control systems and vehicle control system.
• Work on crisis awareness, loss prevention, and training of the team.
• Conduct preliminary investigation and have good working relationship with the police and other relevant government authorities on security matters.
• Develop and manage security contractors.
• To enforce disciplinary and work ethics of associate and security personnel.
• Development, establishment and implementation of Environment, Safety and Health program to meet OSHA, FMA, EQA and related statutory requirement.
• Liaise with DOSH, BOMBA, DOE and or any other relevant government authorities.
• Plan and activate measures to secure the safety & health of associates.
• To inspect the workplace within the resort premises.
• To keep statistics on accident and dangerous occurrence at the place of work.
• Responsible for monitoring and control of waste, air emission and effluent complying with Environmental Quality Act (EQA).
• Investigate accidents/incidents and make recommendation to management for making working condition as safe as possible.
• Support in coordination of safety equipment /Personal Protective Equipment Training (PPE).
• Maintain report of accidents for management action.
• Assumes any other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.

Job Requirements:

• Must have minimum 4 years of working experiences in the safety and security. Past experiences in resort environment will be an added advantage.      
• Strong analysis, investigation and documentation skills.
• Ability to support and lead a team of people towards a specific objective.
• Able to support the Security & Safety Manager in specific service projects and managing them until completion.
• Able to perform root cause analysis and investigation.
• Able to perform risk and hazard analysis.
• OSHA knowledge and computer literate.
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Must be willing to work in the Langkawi island.

JOB DESCRIPTION

About this role:
As a Florist / Floral Designer the primary responsibility is to create innovative floral décor and lead floral installation for the hotel lobby, Guest Rooms, Restaurants, Spa, and other public areas. Have good coordination with the housekeeping and as well as another department like Front Office, F&B Service to cater to their floral requirements.

Also, knowledge about a wide range of floral designs, flowers, foliage along with their seasonal availability and how long they will stay fresh. All designs and duties are to be performed in accordance with the housekeeping department standard operating policies and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Able to create visually appealing flower arrangements for hotels’ daily requirements.
• Able to provide specialized design and floral expertise to plan, design and create floral arrangements for all events in the hotel eg: Wedding, Engagement, product launch etc.
• Able to prepare bouquets for guests, lobby centre pieces and other flower arrangements as per request or memo from both housekeeping and other departments.
• Assist with loading or unloading of flowers and props from vehicles as and when
  required.
• Ensure that all designs meet the hotel’s standards and meet or exceed guests
  expectations.
• Ensure that all floral arrangements are within the allocated budget and deadlines are met for both hotels’ requirements and guest orders.
• Ensure proper communication of project status, timelines and delivery information to guests, bookers, organizers, and other departments.
• All floral orders are updated on the register or sheets and appropriate sign off to be taken from guests or other departments.
• Billing/voucher to be done for all guest orders, events and charges to be posted to the appropriate guest or banquet folio.
• Responsible for preparing floral containers, required props, floral foams and floral carts for storage, refrigeration, and delivery.
• Responsible for creating new floral recipes or floral designs.
• Responsible for ordering flowers, floral products and monitor their arrivals with the
  vendors.
• Responsible for coordination with flower and floral products vendors.
• Responsible for monitoring par stocks and making required requisitions.
• Responsible for Sorting, organizing, cleaning, and restocking all supplies.
• Responsible for water and maintaining all in-house plants and floral decorations.
• Ensure good relations with internal departments, clients, and vendors to resolve issues.
• Monitor all flower vase inventory and counts for breakage or loss.
• Expedite reorder and new inventory for a flower vase, floral foams as and when needed.
• Maintain photos of all variety of floral arrangements done as a sample or catalogue for the guests.
• Assign projects and lead crews in floral production on-site, maximizing employee talents and available resources.
• Stay up to date and current in design trends, floral techniques, props and other products.
• Any other duties and tasks in the area assigned by the manager or supervisor.

Prerequisites:

• Advanced knowledge of fresh floral products and design technique.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Flexibility, punctuality, teamwork and Cleanliness.
• Ready to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Applicants must be willing to work in Langkawi.

Education:
High school diploma or 2-year degree in Floral Design or related field. Basic computer
knowledge.

Experience:
At least 2 to 4 years of floral design experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.

Responsibilities:

• Effectively manages the Human Resources Department, ensuring compliance with local and government regulations pertaining to employment practices.

About this role;

We are looking for an energetic, go-getter and results driven Director of Sales and Marketing.
Works closely with the General Manager to determine appropriate sales strategies in all market segments towards maximizing the resort revenues. The director of sales and marketing is responsible for driving revenue to the property through sales and marketing tactics.
The director of sales and marketing also creates an effective revenue management strategy to ensure the resort’s profitability in all market conditions through sales and marketing strategies.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES;

• Manage, lead, and develop the resort sales & marketing team to support the sales and marketing strategies and to deliver exceptional, profitable sales growth and results.
• Provide strategic sales and marketing leadership to ensure the resort achieves profitable revenue growth, continues to increase market share, develop innovative selling competencies, and builds a sustainable industry leadership position for the resort.
• He/she is also responsible for maximum occupancy of conferences and banquettes to optimize general business opportunities.
• Advise the resort management team on sales and marketing direction, competitors, marketing trends, including e-marketing and distribution technology trends.
• Fully understand how the resort is regarded in the community in conjunction with a thorough knowledge of the competitive situation in terms of business mix of competitors, pricing and rate structures, sales and advertising strategies and future resort planning within the community.
• Meets sales and marketing financial objectives by forecasting requirements and
  preparing annual budgets.
• Create excellent client relationships through attention to detail; prompt follow up and empathy for customer perceptions and needs whilst maintaining professionalism.
• Suggests innovative marketing ideas and proactively develops deployment strategies to continue to grow market share for the property.
• Develops strong community and public relations by ensuring property participation in local, and national tradeshows and client events.
• Identifies public relations opportunities and coordinates activities to augment the overall marketing communication strategy.
