This role is based within our fast-paced warehouse at our Hoddesdon depot and forms an essential part of the Best Food Logistics business in delivering the right products to our customers on time.

• Work with all team members to ensure that all corporate goals are consistently achieved and maintained
• Using voice technology, unload supplier’s vehicles of products, perform checks to Company standards, and processes relating to our clients’ requirements, taking temperature recordings where necessary
• Using a powered pallet truck (PPT), ensure that all products received and checked, probed where required, labelled, stacked safely, and wrapped as per the current process and policy to enable pickers to assemble customer orders without incurring any delay to the pick
• Comply with all requirements of the Health and Safety policy and procedure including wearing safety clothing and footwear, always adhere to Mechanical Handling Equipment (MHE) procedures and be aware of and comply with all fire safety procedures, including maintaining clear fire exits and escape routes
• Comply with all relevant Food Safety and Food Hygiene legislation and ensure the warehouse and site is kept clean, tidy and in safe condition at all times
• Cooperate fully with other departments/depots always maintaining a professional and polite attitude and undertake any other duties that may from time to time prove necessary
• Work to targets and have an accurate and methodical approach to your work

You must have basic numeracy and literacy skills and be a good team player.

Knowledge of Food Hygiene and experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.

Reach Truck licence is essential for this role and PPT training will be provided.

Days and nights available

We have exciting vacancies for Flexible Clerical Colleagues to join Booker Magor DC. There are two different shift patterns available, (1)Double days & (2) Nights. Colleagues will be required to be multi skilled however will focus more of their time in specific areas of the Warehouse Operation.

Reporting to Team Management or Stock Integrity Management (dependant on time spent in specific area), you will be responsible for supporting the day to day administration of the Warehouse function ensuring a smooth efficient running of the DC operation to meet productivity requirements, and service level commitments.

Duties may include (but will not be limited to):

• Dealing with Drivers & receipt of paperwork
• Communicate with Shunters/Transport regarding deliveries
• Completion of POD paperwork
• Dispatch confirmation
• Releasing orders for checking & putting away
• Liaise with Goods in Checkers & and Supply Chain
• Release of products for picking
• Monitor of pick and replenishment control screens
• Investigation of back picks, suspended picks & replenishments

The Warehouse Team Manager will support the site management team in the efficient and cost effective management of the warehouse operations. It will be your responsibility to ensure the smooth running of the daily Warehouse operation and enable the required level of service to be provided to the customer at all times.

You will ensure that the receiving, storing, picking and dispatch of Goods in the correct manner to agreed productivity levels and within budgetary constraints, whilst maintaining a safe working environment through effective team management.

To be successful in this role you’ll have working knowledge of the Warehouse function within the FMCG distribution industry as well as working knowledge of the business and operational aspects of supervising a depot Warehouse operation. General knowledge of the Transport function would be an advantage.

We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Hatfield Distribution Centre in our Warehouse Department as a Warehouse Clerk. Our Regional Distribution centres supply our 198 cash and carry sites with all their products including Fresh, Frozen and Ambient stock.

The successful applicants will be required to work 37.5 hours per week, working any five from six Nights shift pattern (22.00 – 06.00 hrs).

We are currently looking for an Ambient Warehouse Clerk who will be responsible for the shift’s clerical administration of the Nights operation. They will report to the Senior Clerk on the shift and contribute to the Department’s success by ensuring KPI’s are continually met.

• Working with the voice management console to release orders for picking
• Printing and monitoring alerts created

• Liaising with customer service and actioning cancellations, TFT’s and other customer requests

• Using Minster to carefully and correctly amend necessary orders due to stock shortages

• Printing invoices for the next day deliveries and liaising with the transport department

• Responsible for ensuring that all pallets are securely wrapped and in the correct position before they are loaded onto vehicles, avoiding collision with other pallets or vehicle sides
• Ensure the manoeuvring of pallets onto the back of a vehicle is at a suitable speed, dependent on the size of the load
• Keep surrounding area clean and free from obstacles
• Be aware and comply with all fire safety procedures, including maintaining clear fire exits and escape routes

Role and Responsibilities:

• Understand the agreed requirements of internal and/or external customer and deliver on these requirements
• Communicate the required standards to the Warehouse team and ensure they are fully understood
• Train and coach Warehouse staff to achieve set standards

• Complete new starter 3/7/11 reviews and contribute to the decisions on confirmation of employment

Working Hours:

This is full time working 40 hours per week on night ( 10pm to 6am).

You will be contracted to any five days from seven days, However, normal shift pattern are Sunday to Thursday or Monday to Friday.

Regular overtime time available is desired.
