Job Description
Provide commercial finance leadership to the Meat, Poultry and Seafood (MPS) and Dairy segments within Amcor Flexibles North America (AFNA). High visibility role with direct working relationships with business unit VP’s and Sales and Marketing Directors. Candidate will have the opportunity to display analytical proficiency, commercial acumen, strategic thinking and influencing skills in high-focus segments for AFNA.
WHAT YOU GET TO DO
- Support the Sales Directors in understanding commercial performance versus their targets
- Lead business profitability deep dives of internally challenged business
- Lead the Sales Annual Operating Plan (budget) and Sales Incentive Plan processes
- Analyze profitability performance and make recommendations to improve margins
- Lead assessment of historical financial performance of major accounts
- Determine financial impact of contract decisions for major Amcor key accounts
- Support the Marketing team as the “voice of Finance” in deal analysis, formulating strategy, proforma preparation and deal structuring including combined equipment and packaging deals
- Advise commercial leadership on financial ramifications of contractual decisions
- Intercept poor business decisions based on misunderstood data
- Support Sales in account plan execution (Value Plus and Design-to-win)
- Translate plant financial performance for commercial leadership and teams
- Support commercial teams in presentation of opportunities to Amcor leadership (Deal Reviews)
- Train analysts, marketing, finance, and AFNA leadership on best practice in margin analysis

WHAT WE VALUE
- Commercial finance experience, including working directly with Sales and Marketing leaders
- Strong analytical skills, with comfort in manipulating large data sets, drawing strategic insights and communicating upwards
- Entrepreneurial spirit, with comfort in dealing with ambiguity and working independently
- Strong leadership and ability to positively influence across the organization
- Nice to have: Knowledge of flexible packaging industry ‘what we do’ including systems, processes, and costs
WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU
- A four-year college degree is required with an emphasis on business administration, finance, or engineering preferred
- Travel ~10%
- 3+ years Amcor experience or 5+ years Commercial Finance experience
