In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the operational health of our compute infrastructure. Your scope of work will include implementing software deployments, hardware upgrades, and automation solutions to enhance our infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Linux-based systems, be proficient in scripting for automation, and possess a keen eye for troubleshooting both hardware and software issues. The Medical Assistant is a multi-skilled clinical professional that works within the scope of practice and in alignment with the standards of excellence and quality.  The Medical Assistant provides indirect and/or direct patient care under the direction of the provider.                               

Under the direction of the provider, contributes to the completion of the patient’s chief complaint (including but not limited to respirations, blood pressure, pulse oximetry, height, weight and temperature) and documentation of patient/family needs.  Identifies significant changes in patient condition through data collection and reports them to the provider.  Understands and adheres to the legal responsibilities and requirements within the Medical Assistant role.

Documents in EMR accurately and appropriately.  Manages My Chart request and incoming patient calls. Manages in basket messages under the Provider’s verbatim instructions. 

This position goes to the Fairfield office location as well as the West office location and works 30 hours per week.

Off on Monday, 7:30 to 5 pm on Tuesday, 7:30 to 5 pm on Wednesday, 12:30 to 5pm on Thursday, and 7:30 to 1pm on Friday.

Other duties include but not limited to ordering supplies appropriately, tracking referrals, labs and diagnostic tests, disposing contaminated supplies, etc.

Licensing/Certification
Medical Assisting certification (required within 9 months of placement in MA role): Certified Medical Assistant (American Association of Medical Assisting), Registered Medical Assistant (American Medical Technologists), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (National Healthcareer Association, or National Certified Medical Assistant (National Center for Competency Testing). Completes annual wellness visit screenings. Reviews, updates and screens medication list in the EHR. Reviews social history with patient and updates record. • Performs back office testing following approved AHN protocols and policies.
• Assists providers with examination and procedures.
• May serve as a scribe with additional training.
• Provides follow up with patients at designated intervals via patient's preferred method (telephone, electronic, written) in accordance with provider instructions. Notifies patients of test results under the direction of provider in a timely manner.
• Prepares exam room for patient visit. Ensures adequate inventory of medical supplies. Ensures all patient treatment areas are at all times stocked with the appropriate supplies using established inventory standards.
• Cleans and sterilizes instruments per established AHN approved policy and manufacturer's guidelines.
• Accurately performs lab controls and equipment checks as assigned.
• Administers and accurately documents medications in accordance with policy and safe practice.
• Documents accurately in the electronic health record (EHR) according to established standards and work flows.
• Accurately performs clerical office functions and other duties as assigned.
• May require floating/travel between physician office locations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum

• High School / GED
• CPR certification
• Completion of a Medical Assistant Program OR 1 year of Medical Assistant OR 1 year in a direct patient care role, including vital signs. Candidate experience must align with expected clinical duties (i.e., injections, phlebotomy, EKGs)

Certification Requirements:

• Employees who have: graduated from a medical assistant program within five years OR proof of one year of work experience as a medical assistant in the last three years must complete certification training and/or attempt testing within 30 days of hire and must obtain certification within 120 days of hire.
• Accepted Medical Assistant Certification (NHA, AAMA, AMT, NCCT, AMCA)

Employees who have not met the above certification criteria may have the opportunity to sit for a company proctored certification exam when qualified.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Assist in the development and execution of a comprehensive infrastructure strategy that aligns with company objectives and adapts to ongoing technology advancements
• Design and execute on delivering a secure, high-availability infrastructure systems, including end-point computing, storage and computing resources, ensuring performance excellence, high service availability, data integrity, and a positive user experience.
• Execute operational excellence plans through automation, process improvement, and the implementation of best practices across all infrastructure domains.
• Manage infrastructure hardware and software provisioning, maintenance, upgrades, and lifecycle processes.
• Help uphold infrastructure policies, standards, and protocols in line with organizational objectives and compliance mandates.
• Act as a point of contact for the IT Infrastructure team in all matters related to ITSM processes, fostering a culture of transparency, accountability, and timely resolution of incidents and changes.  Facilitate regular review meetings for Incident and Change Management to assess performance, identify process enhancements, and ensure compliance with established SLAs and KPIs. Drive the adoption of automation and tool integration within the ITSM framework to improve process efficiency and accuracy across Incident, Change, and Service Request management.
• Lead and Manage the IT infrastructure server teams, fostering an environment of innovation and continuous improvement, and facilitating technical and career development.
• Participate in in all Infrastructure related Incidents reported, assisting second tier support teams with direction, decisions, and technical advice to streamline troubleshooting with the goal of a quick resolution or,  If they cannot resolve quickly, appropriate and timely escalation.  Own the completion of  any incidents or documentation for supporting teams for executive and post mortem review.
• Formal supervisory responsibilities, including performance management, staffing, employee relations & compensation.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in in related field or Industry experience in infrastructure management including previous large-scale
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT infrastructure with a clear track record of supporting leadership roles in complex, diverse environments.
• Strong experience in systems administration within Unix (including AIX) and Windows Server ecosystems.
• Solid understanding of deploying, optimizing, and managing web applications with high availability; experience with WebSphere and seamless integration with various server platforms.
• Technical acumen in managing infrastructure elements like IBM Power Systems, x86 servers, and virtualization solutions such as VMware ESXi and Nutanix.
• Proficiency in supporting HCI technology implementations, particularly with Nutanix platforms, and a capacity to scale such environments effectively.
• Experience in supporting the management of virtualization technologies and cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Knowledgeable in assisting the administration of storage solutions (SAN, NAS) and storage protocols (iSCSI, NFS, SMB/CIFS).
• Skilled in aiding system monitoring, performance tuning, and ensuring overall system health.

• Nutanix Administration strongly preferred
• AWS and Azure IaaS experience strongly preferred

The Office of International Education (OIE) is seeking an efficient, highly-detail oriented, (temporary) Office Assistant to join the team. This position is responsible for assisting with the preparation of visa documents to new students and scholars as well as assisting a busy reception area, interfacing with, and providing basic information to students and scholars, and for providing general administrative support to staff in the Office of International Education. This role will contribute to the department by providing essential support by overseeing pitching staff, assisting head softball coach with recruiting, skill instruction, student-athlete development, monitoring academic performance, community involvement, fundraising, camps, practice and game coaching.

Core responsibilities will include:

• Direct oversight and development of the pitching staff. Prepare, plan, conduct, and evaluate practice sessions, as directed by the head coach. Candidate must be flexible in teaching methods and communication styles to connect with players while teaching player-to-player sport and position specific skills, during and after practice during the traditional and non-traditional seasons. Additionally, candidate must have an overall understanding over the game to assist in teaching progressions and drills during daily practice

• Assist in recruitment of athletes by coordinating mailing of recruitment materials and information; maintain contact with and plan campus visits for prospective student-athletes and their parents; maintain frequent and consistent public contact with high schools and clubs for scouting and public relations efforts

• Attend off-campus games for the purpose of evaluation and contact

• Assist as needed with travel arrangements for the team by coordinating meals for away games, processing paperwork before and after trips, create itineraries and work with opponents to schedule practice times

• Maintain equipment inventory and oversee distribution to athletes

• Maintain and update internal team statistics, scouting reports and game plans

• Assist in monitoring of academic performance, progress, and class attendance of student-athletes and intervene when necessary

• Interact with various campus offices and departments

• Serve in a leadership role and promote participation in community service activities by student athletes

• Teach in the Physical Education program

• Supervision of the Volunteer Assistant including assigning responsibilities, tasks, and statistics tracking if applicable
