Summary of the role:
The Finance Analyst role is to support the Finance Manager in the overall Continuous Improvement of the Business in data analysis and reporting by bridging the gap between business objectives and technical solutions. The role also involves managing and analyzing costs to support product pricing decisions, efficient execution of projects and ensuring costs are accurately tracked, controlled and optimized to maximize profitability and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
1. Data Analyst and reporting: Analyzing data to identify trends, patterns and insights that can inform business decisions and requirements. Reporting such data to communicate findings and key performance indicators on a periodic basis to stakeholders.
2. Continuous Improvement: Providing feedback to stakeholders and project teams to improve process, systems, and solutions based on lessons learned and user feedback.
3. Determining the costs associated with each product or service offered by the company
4. Analyzing differences between budgeted and actual costs, investigating variances, understanding reasons and recommending corrective actions where necessary
5. Prepare regular cost reports on projects and presenting findings to management.
6. Supporting Decision-making by collaborating with other departments to ensure cost-related data is accurate and timely.
Qualifications:
This role requires strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills, high interest in business models and growing oneself business acumen, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders across different levels of the organization.
Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration with 2-3 years of working experience in similar capacity.
Software skill competency in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Word
