Oversee an organization’s sales objectives, initiatives and procedures. Required to set short and long- term sales strategies and evaluate effectiveness of on-going sales programs. Propose product or service to increase customer satisfaction and sales potential.
With the current company’s range of products, develop effective sales program to meet annual sales target and increase sales lead. This rely on extensive experience and business acumen to plan and execute effective methods to accomplish goals.
Lead and direct the work of a team of internal and external sales personnel. Also need to coach and guide team members towards the same direction set by the organization.
The successful candidate will report directly to management. A wide degree of creativity and sense of logic is expected.
Responsibilities:
- Achieve sales target set forth by the management
- Develop a strategic business plan to expand customer base by implementing sales initiatives and programs to capture new leads
- Motivate, train and set sales target for individual and product with the sales team
- Establish a strong sales team; internal and field personnel to work towards company’s objectives and policies
- Provides coaching, market trends and knowledge to sales team and other departments when necessary
- Contribute to team effort in accomplishing company’s overall objectives
- Meet existing and new customers to discuss their evolving needs, how they relate to your products and maintain good relationship with customers.
- Identify supply & demand, changing trends, economic indicators and competition especially sales program and new products in the market
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge relevant to work and self-enhancement by attending training and workshops
- Present sales volume, revenue and profit including forecasts to the management for existing and new products
Requirements:
- Possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field.
- Experience working as a sales representative or sales manager of at least 5 years, consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
- Proficient in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Travel is required, thus flexibility is a must.
- Proven ability to drive the sales process from planning to closing
- Ability to lead and supervise a sales team by strong mentoring, coaching and people management skills
- Experience in customer relationship management
- Good business sense in same or similar industry expertise
