Reporting to Head of Sales Excellence of Region AA, you will play an important role of providing the analysis on how we can make our distribution in the market becomes more effective and efficient. We are in search of a skilled and experienced Civil Infrastructure Design Manager to lead our design team within a dynamic consultancy environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the design and management of civil infrastructure projects, particularly in sectors such as Highways, Water, Sewage, Telecoms, and Bridges. This role demands a professional who is adept at overseeing complex design processes, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality infrastructure solutions.

Responsibilities:

Design Leadership in Civil Infrastructure:

• Lead the design process for civil infrastructure projects, focusing on Highways, Water, Sewage, Telecoms, and Bridges.

• Develop design strategies and plans that align with project objectives and client needs.

• Guide the design team through complex technical challenges, ensuring innovative and practical solutions.

Multidisciplinary Team Coordination:

• Manage and inspire multidisciplinary design teams, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.

• Ensure seamless integration of various engineering disciplines in the design process.

Design Process Management

Quality Assurance and Standards Compliance:

To further develop the air export product in the marketplace through focus on Operations, Finances, Sales, People, Systems, and Culture in adherence to the company's policies and procedures.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

Operations

• Create and maintain an effective department organization chart, which is designed for flexibility and growth
• Prepare, execute, monitor and update at regular intervals the business plan for the department
• Monitor and improve key departmental productivity indicators.
• Instill and foster a climate of compliance at all times to regulations.  This includes internal policies and procedures such as Operational Process Standards (OPS) and external government regulations or customer policies/requirements.
• Map and understand department process flow, constantly looking for areas of improved efficiency to offer customers better cycle times and service as well as controlling costs.
• Ensure all customers standard operating procedures are documented and kept up to date in the Desk Level Standard Operating Procedures database.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors (airlines, trucking companies, and others)
• Work to be our vendors lowest cost customer through electronic booking, shipper built units, and other creative local market solutions to lower overall cost for both parties.
• Evaluate vendors at defined intervals per company policy, focusing on areas of possible improvement with corrective action plans where needed.
• Regularly read and review business and trade journals and attend industry events to further market and industry knowledge.
• Actively develop business for department through active involvement in sales and retention process and close coordination with sales department
• Complete 5 Sales and/or Retention Calls per week and ensure they are documented in the CRS database
• Ensure Customer reviews are completed with your regular customers
• Pro-actively provide pricing alternatives, routing solutions and technical assistance to clients through internal sales both regional and global
• Respond to requests for proposal, quotation or information timely and with market competitive pricing matching the scope of service required by the customer
• Take an active role in the transition of new business/ updates to existing business

Lead a team of Customer Services agent (Front-Offices, Back-Offices, Billing Auditors…)

• Ensure the targets (performance, quality, cost) are reached by the team who is responsible for
• Lead the team by bringing team spirit, encouraging continuous improvement initiatives
• Coach the team by sharing his/her experience and bringing trust and self-confidence
• Organize the daily team attendance and involvement (hybrid management, back-ups…)
• Alert his/her direct Manager in case of dysfunction internal to the team
• Escalate any related topics to the upper level of hierarchy, as per the agreed escalation matrix

Supervise and Monitor the Operational Workflow to Ensure a Full Supply Chain Visibility to the Customer

• Receive and control customer bookings according to the processes in place
• Contribute to the continuous improvements and savings for the customer (optimization, consolidations…)
• ensure the data quality and assign customer booking to a selection of 3PLs
• monitor shipments on regular basis (3PL shipment confirmation, milestones completion, etc.)
• drive corrective actions when required (missing event, missing document etc.)
• monitor delays and deliveries events using the dedicated IT solutions (TMS, collaborative platform, BI…)
• alert the customer team pro-actively in case of deviation and propose alternative solutions
• communicate with internal (regional and overseas) and external organizations
• ensure that all communications generated in the related IT solution (chat, tasks etc.) are handled in a timely manner.
• create the reports and analysis to give a consolidated vision of the flows for a single customer
• track and provide corrective actions for the customer complaints

Deliver Customer Satisfaction

• manage and supports order management to ensure the best possible service level

• meet deadlines and ensure completion of customer service tasks within the expected time frames
• ensure a consistent and pro-active communication flow with the customer
• act as a strong interface to resolve customer problems, manage troubleshooting and issue resolution

Contribute to improve Partner and Vendor performance

• monitor the 3PLs service quality and give feedback to the Hub manager
• monitor the good deployment and efficiency of new operational practices with the 3PLs
• Contribute to formalize the SOP
• provide 1st level of support to the 3PL (operational inquiries, data matters etc.)
• set up and monitor corrective action plans in agreement with the Hub manager

• Proven track record in a similar role, ideally in a 4PL environment

• Minimum of 3 years of transport management / freight forwarding experience (Air operations)
• Transport Operations Management (Airfreight)
• Excellent in verbal and written English
• Experience in AOG (Aircraft on Ground)
