• Define Ikano Retail leadership & team development learning roadmap and offer.
• Support the organisation with a systematic approach to leadership development.
• Individual coaching of leaders and management teams for effective leadership.
• Responsible for leadership assessment tools and support leaders with guidelines for purpose and feedback process.
• Define facilitator framework to support in maintaining local facilitator pool for global & local leadership offer. Develop and facilitate programme to support leadership facilitator competency.
• Point of entry for Global IKEA on Culture and Values initiatives and responsible to align and integrate across the organisation.
• Lead the annual succession planning review process and develop High Potential leadership / talent programmes based on the outcome.  
• Develop Mentorship programme framework and outline across Ikano Retail.
• Resource for Team Development, Mentoring and Coaching when needed.
• Point of entry for Inter IKEA systems for development initiatives as well as being Ikano Retail representative in global forums.
• Responsible to drive a performance culture through our performance management process.

• Actively approach customers who you see require additional help. Identify their needs by asking the right questions and advise them on the best solutions for their homes in order to exceed their expectations.
• Understand how to use the different IKEA sales and communication channels and know-how for the different customers you meet.
• Understand the store and department action plans. Responsibility for your department goals and know how you contribute.
• Lead/support the implementation of planned commercial activities involving your department throughout the store.
• Ensure your maximise sales whilst maintaining profitability by knowing and actively steering towards the top-selling and prioritised products (e.g. overstock/over tag).
• Demonstrate the ability to analyse and adjust sales space capacities based on system parameters (sales location management) to secure high stock availability.
• Be familiar with the IKEA social and environmental commitments and know how you can contribute to sustainability.

• Your working base is the shop floor where you lead by example every day, supporting, challenging and coaching co-workers.
• Together with your team, you focus on putting the customer first in everything you do within the store shop. Every customer must have a shopping experience that exceeds his or her expectations.
• You ensure the shop is in excellent shape as new and fully and efficiently stocked with the four merchandising basics in place at all times and that the IKEA product range is presented in ways that inspire and satisfy customers;
• You ensure your team has all the correct knowledge about the product range in your department and the IKEA services so that they can share this with IKEA customers to improve their overall shopping experience;
• You and your team actively sales steer to your department’s top-selling products, prioritised products and IKEA service products in order to maximise sales and long-term profitability.
• You act quickly on commercial opportunities and keep an eye on the competition;
• You actively promote the IKEA social and environmental commitment and work with your team to understand how, together, you can contribute to sustainability.
• You take full responsibility for ensuring your shop is in excellent shape as new and fully stocked, and with the four merchandising basics in place at all times (priced, clean, well assembled and available).
• Together with your shopkeeper, you take responsibility for your department goals and ensure your action plan is in place and communicated clearly to them. You follow up and take action accordingly by using proven solutions and good examples. You define your individual contribution and goals for delivering the department plan.
• You are passionate about the IKEA products in your shop. You create a high level of knowledge about the products’ features and benefits, and share this with customers and your team.
