HSEQ Executive
This role is responsible in maintaining the KTSB HSE Management System (HSEMS) & Quality Management System (QMS) and to ensure successful implementation of the HSEQ Plan. The job incumbent will carry out wider responsibilities in the absence of the HSEQ Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage implementation and maintaining HSEQ policies focusing on occupational safety programs and emergency response plan in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Meanwhile, ensuring effective communication and understanding of policies across all levels of the organization.
- Oversee regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with safety regulations and HSEQ standards.
- Stay abreast of changes in regulations and standards, updating organizational practices accordingly.
- Validate risks and hazards recommendation identified in the workplace. In addition, to validate recommendations from risk management programs to mitigate and control identified risks.
- Plan and deliver HSEQ training programs to educate employees and contractors on policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Foster a culture of safety awareness, continuous learning, and improvement in HSEQ matters.
- Facilitate or lead an investigation into incidents, accidents, and near-misses. Analyze root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Prepare and submit timely and accurate incident reports.
- Develop and maintain effective emergency response plans to ensure the organization's readiness for unexpected events and recovery plan.
- Ensure regular drills and exercises are conducted to test and improve emergency response capabilities.
- Lead audit tracking for OSH Management to cover all important internal and external audit items.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health / Environmental Management / Engineering or other related technical fields with three (3) years of working experience (preferably in the oil, gas, or petrochemical industry).
- Possesses excellent oral and written skills in both Bahasa Malaysia and English, adapt at preparing technical documents.
- A competency qualification or certificate in OSH Management system and a registered SHO.
