Develop and manage Quality Assurance programmes and activities that to ensure compliance with company policies, food safety standards, government regulations, and industry best practices including GMP and HACCP.

Responsibilities:

• To ensure quality objectives and product performance are met through constant monitoring and improvement of internal and external requirements.
• Establishing and maintaining quality control measures throughout the production process, from raw material sourcing to finished product distribution, to ensure consistency and adherence to quality standards.
• Working with stakeholders in the plant to drive continuous improvement of product safety and quality, GMP control, manage process control, risk management, compliance to regulatory requirements and customer expectations.
• Review, develop and maintain a systematic approach for SOPs, records, and product specifications to enhance quality efficiency and performance at the plant.
• Ensure all timely and consistent corrective and preventive measures are well addressed and implemented for in-process non-conformance, customer complaints, and auditing (internal & external) with appropriate and quick response to address root causes and proper solutions. Follow up and update management on the progress and effectiveness of the action plan on a timely basis.
• Providing training and guidance to staff on quality assurance principles, procedures, and best practices to ensure a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
• To lead and motivate subordinates to ensure that the team is competent and capable of performing their routines to meet the quality management system and management expectations.
• Perform any work or responsibility assigned by the Management as and when necessary.

• To come out with weekly/fortnightly and monthly newsletter to keep all our internal and external stakeholders abreast with MFM progress/NPDs and not in silo.
• To have the mindset of continuous improvement on effectiveness of marketing as a brain/bone/nerve to support sales team.
• To assist GM and liaise with sales/channel and distributors sales team on building sales funnel, by-pass to IKAM and LKAM accounts so that MFM hold and have engagement with the cream accounts.

Responsible to drive the overall planning and scheduling activities of the poultry processing plant production hence optimizing orders fulfilment, materials movement, on-time delivery according to demand and quality standards which are aligned with the company’s strategies.

• Strategize and direct the overall master planning of production activities considering capacity constraints such as equipment, manpower, raw materials, ingredients, consumables, crates, etc to meet sales forecast and/or customers’ orders while meeting standards of safety and quality.
• Ensure production will optimise orders fulfilment and on-time delivery in accordance to sales forecasts or customer orders whilst minimize the imbalance parts working in collaboration with sales and demand planner.  Identify challenges and opportunities, perform root cause analysis on variances and recommend the action plans accordingly.
• Monitor the business market demands and orchestrate the plant production while taking into consideration the upstream supply from the broiler farm which includes (but not limited to) managing birds’ allocation to production lines by utilizing bird size bell curve, broilers’ scratches, Coefficient of Variance (CV), harvesting and logistics, which all will have impacts on the quality of the poultry products.
• Collaborate with Production Manager to drive optimal Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) in the plant to ensure equipment is availability for production and timely completion of preventive maintenance, through close coordination with Engineers from P1 to P8.
• Develop good liaison with FP&A team for cost-effective evaluations, Marketing for effective inventory management and profit optimization on production output (product/SKU mix) and HR on Learning and Growth.
• Work closely with upstream broiler suppliers (Stakeholder Engagement) to reduce quality defects of birds coming into the plant; uniformity, (wing and drumstick bruises, yellow and red scratches, ammonia burns on the hock joint and foot pads). 
• Manage the entire production scheduling at the plant encompassing optimal workforce utilisation taking into consideration the cost benefit of overtime cost against the production targets that has been set.
• Continuously review, monitor & analyse customer requirement, supplier performance, planning and actual production in order to achieve customer’s satisfaction.
• Optimize production planning and control with up-to-date information on demand variation affecting raw material requirements which ultimately affecting production planning and overall operation.
• Continuously drive improvements and operational excellence in the plant production planning to achieve a lean, streamlined and effective value chain hence optimising profitability.
• To perform any other tasks and assignments as directed by the management from time to time.

Responsible for translating business goals into actionable plans and KPIS and provide analytical insights to support business growth and profitability.

Upstream

• Provide analytical insights and support to Head of poultry farms and farm managers in managing farm KPIs as below:

1. Breeder & Hatchery – Productivity (DOC per HH), PS Mortality, Hatchability, DOC CV, DOC Quality, PS Weight Management, Biosecurity, Overheads and Fixed Operating Expenses.
2. Broiler – Performance Index, 7th days body weight, Feed Cost per kg of broiler meat, FCR, Mortality, Cycle time, Non-conformance factors (CV, bruises, broken or red wing tip, ammonia burnt, etc), Productivity (kg per square meter), Biosecurity, Overheads and Fixed Operating Expenses.

• Provide analysis for DOC and Broiler supply planning & scheduling, logistic and harvesting to ensure plant broiler requirement in term of quantity, body weight, timing and sequence are fulfilled within the allowed tolerance range.
• Provide support to CF and OMBB in terms of the onboarding process which include verifying the creation of account form, OF/OMBB contract terms and ensure end cycle payment are processed in accurate and timely manner. To ensure Contract Terms are adjusted timely to reflect changes in raw materials price and feed formulation cost.
• Provide analytical support and collaborate with farm, harvester, logistics and downstream stakeholders to improve non-conformance costs such as broilers’ DOA (dead on arrival), weight loss, bruises, broken wings and other injuries, etc.
• Provide analysis to breeder, hatchery and broiler farm management to optimise VOHs (variable overheads) which includes staff, medications (vaccine, antibiotic), pesticide, disinfectant, repair & maintenance, electricity, water and etc.
• Check to ensure farm internal controls are adhered (eg, purchasing SOP, cash sales, live bird invoicing and CN, repair and maintenance works, petty cash claims and etc)
• Check to ensure operational data capturing are timely and accurate (eg. cycle end, invoicing, consumables/medications usage, etc)
• Perform financial feasibility analysis for new capex (new equipment, broiler and breeder farm, etc) and projects & ensure it is appropriately enforced by the HBUs to comply with expected performance outcome as outlined in the feasibility study, otherwise to highlight to HBU on the need to implement the necessary action plans to ensure conformance.
• Support the annual budgeting and monthly revised forecast (LE - latest estimates) process.
• Work closely with leadership team on strategic, tactical and operational matters as and when required.
• Upon better visibility on Supply Chain solution, will incorporate the necessary additional analysis of variance and root cause analysis with action plans to reduce the gap and improve performance and bottom line.

Downstream

• Establish a reliable tracking process for plant’s critical KPIs such as OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness by production lines), Production Yields (by production lines and product categories such giblets, CUP, deboned etc), Manpower Productivity (by lines) and Plant’s Key Variable and Fixed Overheads. Provide analytic support and collaborate with plant stakeholders to drive improvement on those critical KPIs.
• Provide analytical support and collaborate with plant and upstream stakeholders to improve broiler supply bird size accuracy (average body weight, ABW), uniformity (CV) and volume. This in turn will improve plant KPIs such as OEE, order fulfilments, variable overheads, etc.
• Ensure product costings are updated in a timely manner arising from changes in production processes, new equipment, cost components (eg. Manpower, raw materials, etc), new product development, etc.
• Perform financial feasibility analysis for new capex (new equipment, additional production lines, etc), NPD (new product development) and projects.
• Drive efficiency and effectiveness in business processes through reengineering, streamlining, automation and enhancing the internal controls.
• To perform any other task and assignments as directed by the Management from time to time.

1. Negotiate with 3PL cold chain transporters and external warehouse storage quotation and review in quarterly basis base on market trend to strive lower delivery cost.
2. Liaise and co-ordinate with logistic companies to ensure smooth operations and delivery of goods to customers to achieve OTIF KPI Target.
3. Perform depot management to ensure optimum stock level and order fulfillment.
4. To guide and coach the new personnel on their operation duties.
5. Perform cold chain quality management and audit to ensure no cold chain break in delivery, depot, 3PL facilities, and distributor storage and practice high hygiene standard.
6. To maintain in good condition the depot and equipment provided by the company.
7. To implement operations policies, procedures, safety & regulations.
8. To ensure documentations, report & market and customer intelligence are channeled to the relevant departments on a timely manner.
9. To build strong internal and external relationship in order to solve customers' complaints & problems through understanding and negotiations.
10. Review and monitor daily last mile delivery operation to increase truck load utilization and engage with sales team to improve order for low utilization route to achieve cost saving.
11. Cooperate with Plant first mile logistics team to ensure timely delivery to depot and distributor in order to ensure meeting last mile delivery KPI target.

1. Employee Engagement

• Drive and organize employee engagement activities such as family day, annual dinner, sports day, breakfast engagement, quarterly engagement sessions and etc to foster relationships amongst colleagues.
• Recommend the necessary initiatives to continuously strive for a harmonious working environment amongst the employees.

2. Industrial Relations

• Work closely with Group Human Resources to provide advisory services to farm management team and employees on state and federal employment regulations, collective agreements, benefits and compensation policies, personnel procedures, and classification programs.
• Handling of all disciplinary, misconduct, employee performance, grievance, and termination cases in consultation with Group Human Resources.
• Liaison with state and city regulatory bodies (Jabatan Tenaga Kerja) on all matters relating to workers issues at farm.

3. Learning & Development

• Prepare yearly training budget and programmes for employees to inculcate a  learning & growth culture at the Farm.
• Monitor all training program costs, training details, training bond details  and records.
• Support Group Human Resources initiatives in facilitating development programmes such as Leadership Development programme, Managerial Development programme, Talent Development programme, coaching programme, mentor-mentee programme buddy system, E-Learning programme and any other program in DPDC Academy.

4. Talent Acquisition

• Work with Department Heads to identify manpower requirements to support effective organization structure aligned towards the business direction.
• Source and provide quality candidates to Hiring Managers within a stipulated timeframe and close the assigned positions according to the timeline set out in the KPIs. 
• Participate in various Employer Branding activities such as university career talks, career fairs, strategic partnerships with schools etc.
• Conduct pre-onboard, onboarding and blending-in programmes for new employees to ensure an enriching orientation experience.
• Conduct exit interviews with resigned employees, to gauge the attrition reasons and recommend the necessary actions for improvement.
• Responsible for foreign workers matters, including manpower planning, submission of documents for foreign workers application, renewal & cancellation of work permit, arrange workers for FOMEMA check-up and handle of disciplinary and grievances cases, workers welfare.

5. Payroll & Performance Management

• Check payroll on a monthly basis to ensure the submission of statutory contribution in compliance and no penalties cases.
• Manage manpower budget and utilization to support productivity and cost optimization.
• Encourage a performance culture and ensure effective implementation of performance management system which includes advising staff in KPIs setting, understanding of core and leadership competencies.
• Ensure that all submission of input into the HRIS system is accurate and complete to support organisational effectiveness.
