ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plans, schedules, coordinates and/or monitors final delivery of assigned products through the complete production cycle.
• Works from published loading forecast and production readiness to establish production schedules, loading plans within capacity requirements.

• Design & Develop new hardware & innovative solution on sensor integration (IoT) and data mining to existing manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities:

We will focus on activities related to responsible sourcing management within procurement, supply chain ethical standards, and sustainable sourcing initiatives across Western Digital. The position will manage due diligence processes, supply chain mapping, and insights, whilst helping to develop and embed more sustainable procurement practices.

The role will support the corporate sustainability team and may undertake specific supply chain focused projects to help deliver solutions.

Accountability

In order for the incumbent to deliver the expected outcome, the incumbent is authorized to perform the following:

• Responsible for developing and managing supply chain mapping tools and databases.
• Communication and issue of information to supply chain, ensuring clarity, appropriate messaging and timeliness. Instigate and conduct supplier meetings where appropriate to support sustainability objectives.
• Co-ordination of supplier meeting, including tracking invites, responses and supporting with presentations.

• Using insights to identify opportunities and to make recommendations to improve approach, support the development of supply chain standards and help inform next phases of activity.
• Working alongside the Corporate Sustainability team to initiate and embed sustainability initiatives. Helping to implement agreed strategies and support objectives.
• Working in collaboration with various business partners, to enable the delivery of objectives. Where appropriate instigating and conducting stakeholder meetings, managing correspondence, building engagement and resolving queries.

We are recruiting for the following Model Free Adaptive Control project:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The scope of the bimanipulation project will concerning the development of Model-free Adaptive Control to drive robotic arm for pick&-place operation as well as push/pull of the cart.
• The assigned post graduate student will be focusing on encoding the recently developed MFAC algorithm from the simulated environment (firstly, from the Matlab codes and then later to be ported to ROS2 Humble system in the ROS Gazebo environment) to the actual humanoid’s robotic arm for practical demonstration.
• There upon, the MFAC algorithm design and synthesis will be carried out to suit for the pick-and-place demand of a humanoid robot. The algorithm provides a significant advantage of controlling the highly nonlinear 7 DOF robotic arm without a-priori information of the system parameters, load characteristics and other uncertainty.
• The model-free approach adopts the philosophy of data-driven, i.e. the control is able to adapt to the changes in the robot arm characteristics, loading characteristics as well as the interacting environment with which it will be commissioned to engage. This will be accomplished with the least supervision from a human operator.
