Responsibilities
Routine Operations
- Responsible for regular database change implementations, including SQL queries/updates, index modifications, data file management, account management, backup/recovery, and data synchronization/archiving;
- Conduct routine inspections, maintain database monitoring and alerts, ensuring all databases meet SLA standards;
- Ensure database operations/changes comply with security audit standards;
- Familiar with relevant operations on AWS.
Incident Response
- Promptly respond to database incidents, coordinating with internal and external expert teams to resolve production issues swiftly;
- Work with internal and external database experts to monitor and analyze database performance issues;
- Analyze the causes of incidents, prepare reports, formulate corrective measures, and drive implementation.
Project Support
- Collaborate with application development teams to understand and analyze business requirements, completing database design and delivery;
- Promote high-availability database architecture improvements, including architecture design and transformation, high-availability platform management and maintenance, incident drills, and resource management;
- Enhance the database operations knowledge base, maintaining application project information, standard documentation, operating manuals, design and change logs, etc.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven expertise in database operations and management.
- In-depth knowledge of database systems and cloud computing platforms, particularly AWS.
- Proficient in MySQL, RDS, Redis, Redshift, and MongoDB, with familiarity in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, and PowerShell.
- Extensive experience in database architecture design and implementing high-availability solutions.
- Well-versed in backup and recovery strategies, monitoring tools, and ensuring compliance with security standards.
- Hands-on experience in backing up and restoring a variety of databases.
- Strong understanding of incident response procedures and database performance tuning methodologies.
- Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work seamlessly in cross-functional teams.
