The candidate will be Head of Finance and Accounting and reports to the Group Management on the overall financial management of the Group of Companies.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Develops finance organizational strategies by contributing financial and accounting information, analysis and recommendations to strategic thinking and direction; establishing functional objectives in line with organizational objectives.
Manage and oversee the full spectrum of group accounting, finance, tax, treasury, strategic analysis and planning including the management of the team, liaising with external auditors and tax agents to ensure compliance with statutory audit/tax/legal requirements
To be responsible for leading and managing the finance team on matters related to statutory books of Malaysia (i.e. audit, tax return, tax payments, SST matters, internal audit).
Review group financial forecasts including commercial P&L and cash flows for business planning and performance review.
Understand key elements of company risk; identify and mitigate them.
Engage and communicate with department heads to ensure financial information and controls will support business decisions.
Promote and enhance sound financial practices and compliance with legislative and authoritative requirements across the company.
Provide timely analysis and advise the Group Chief Executive Officer on the company’s financial management issues; ensuring that the company meets it commitment to financial accountability and transparency.
Liaise and work closely with external parties/stakeholders such as auditors, tax agents, bankers and etc.
Formulation and review of financial operational processes including oversight functions, cost control, operational finance procedures

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Qualification Required: Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor Degree for Finance or Accounting as well as a professional accounting qualification (CIMA/ACCA/CPA etc.) Qualified Accountant will be given preference.
Industrial Background Preferred: Min 10 years’ working experience in Accounting and Finance with at least 5 years at management position.
Working experience in manufacturing environment with costing skills.
Strong technical accounting and taxation knowledge
Well verse in ERP and able to provide recommendation to improve the system
Provide leadership, coaching and training to enhance the team’s capability and effectiveness
Drive forward best proactive and be proactive in implementing change (as appropriate) reporting processes and systems
Able to demonstrate a clear vision, global mindset and successful people and culture leadership and integration.
Willingness to travel on business trip local and overseas to supervise regional reporting.

Risk Management:

Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Ensure that the company has adequate insurance coverage and risk management policies in place.

Systems and Process Improvement:

Evaluate and implement financial systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Continuously seek ways to improve financial processes and reporting.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA, CMA, or similar certification preferred.
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for the financial health and sustainability of the organization. Key Responsibilities/Duties

Manage the company's financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and auditing.

Develop and implement the financial strategy of the company. This includes long-term financial planning and forecasting, risk management, and investment strategies.

Ensure the timely reporting of key financial data and updates to the Managing Director, Board of Directors, and other key stakeholders.
Ensure legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions. This includes tax planning and compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
Direct the Finance and accounting team, to ensure ongoing improvements in processes as well as their ongoing professional development and training.
Any other duties assigned from time to time by the Management.

Primary Objectives

Analyze and forecast financial performance and business trends to inform strategic decision-making.
Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
Identify, assess, and manage financial risks, ensuring appropriate risk mitigation strategies are in place.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
Oversee internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
Oversee cash flow management, investment activities, and capital structure decisions.
Manage relationships with external auditors, banks, and other financial institutions.
Optimize financial processes and systems to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
Develop and implement training programs to enhance the financial acumen of the organization.
Perform ad hoc tasks assigned from time to time

Qualification Requirement

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree is a plus).
Chartered Accountant (CA) certification is compulsory.
Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible financial leadership experience, including prior experience as a Finance Manager.
Preferred background in the food & beverage, hotel, and resort industry.
Strong knowledge of corporate finance, accounting principles, financial regulations, and risk management practices.
Demonstrated expertise in governance, with a deep understanding of regulatory compliance and corporate ethics.
Familiarity with Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles, with experience in implementing sustainability initiatives.
Proven track record of strategic financial management and leadership.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience in managing investor relations and fundraising activities is a plus.

4. Audit

Ensure timely preparation of year end accounts for audit.
Co-ordinate on audit schedules, debtors / creditors circulation and etc.
Preparation of schedules and other liaisons with auditors.

5. Policy, Process and Procedures

Ensure compliance to existing policy and procedures as well as Quality Standards.
Actively review and identify process bottleneck and recommend for improvement including automation of processes
Lead in inter-department liaisons in developing process and procedures and documentation of those policies and procedures.

6. To act as additional back up for CIT.

7. To act as relief for other executives or subordinates’ work.

8. Undertake other duties as directed by the Head of Group Finance.

Job Requirements

Qualification : Diploma in Accountancy or equivalent.
Experience : Minimum 3 years related working experience.
