Job PURPOSE:

Lead the design team to prepare project schedules, bids / proposals, drawings and designs, ensuring they are completed on time and adhere to the established specifications and standards.

Required to- DO (Key Result Areas & Activities)

1. Design Development

Study the project requirements to explore and provide options for the client through submitting proposals for minor redesign.
Provide instructions complete with drawing, tender specifications, project requirements and work / delivery schedules to the design engineer / drafter.
Liaise with architects, clients and other consultants for the design on drawings, component catalogue compilations, amendment and update to ensure smooth operation of design and drafting according to client specification, standards and requirements.
Coordinate and supervise work by CAD designers and other interfacing work to ensure design information is of the right quality and keeps pace with project timeline.
Monitor the progress of drawing quality and completion to ensure that drawings are delivered on-time and accurately.
Review designs to meet clients’ / consultants’ specification i.e. re-engineering and re-sizing of ductwork, piping systems, equipment and electrical routing

2. Tender Submission

Assess, evaluate and clarify with client / consultant on all new tenders received to be fully aware of the scope and project requirements
Support the Managing Director to determine the costing based on design detailed in the Request for Proposal (RFP) by providing design input into all tender proposals
Participate in any tender technical clarification meetings with the main contractor and/or client and include any design and documentation requirement for addendums that are due to omissions from the tender either as a result of time constraints or from new owner requirements
Attend to all technical tender queries and clarifications related to design during the tender period where required and participate in any negotiation meetings where technical matters require further clarification from the design perspective
Streamline all required technical tender review and evaluation inputs from the design team to allow the tender to be evaluated from a technical perspective.

3. Project Execution Support

Brief the project team on key areas to lookout before handing over for project implementation and provide technical expertise throughout the project to trouble shoot and fine tune engineering designs to solve technical design issues
Supervise and provide guidance to the project that has been assigned to ensure successful project completion

4. Managing Personnel

Leads a team of designers and drafters that use computer aided design (CAD) to fine tune drawings for value engineering
Encourage and inspire design engineers to produce a coordinated and coherent design by using their talent, imagination, experience and resources in a cost-effective way
Guides the Quantity Surveyor on the compilation of the relevant tender documents to ensure the accuracy and completeness of information
Oversee the interviewing, recruitment, and training of project personnel

POSITION SUMMARY:

Candidate is responsible to ensure timely preparation of legal and security documentation for Client execution, processing of disbursements and dealing with external customer issues and to provide timely, accurate and effective credit administrative support to business units.

The Group primarily operates its Financial Services business through its fully owned subsidiaries – Maax Factor Sdn Bhd (MFSB) and MAA Credit Berhad (MAAC). MFSB’s business is trade receivable financing or factoring for SMEs and MAAC provides various forms of funding from short term to long term loans.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for assisting superior in the preparation of Facility Offer Letters and liasing with solicitors for complete preparation of facility documentation.
Assist superior in the management and control of credit operations to ensure accurate and efficient processing of disbursements and settlements.
Ensure the quality of security documentations through periodic monitoring and evaluation and takes necessary measures to protect the organization’s interest.
Perform checks to ensure legal and security documentation are completed, conditions precedents are fulfilled prior to activation of facilities, monitoring of conditions subsequent and ensure that the legal and security documents are in safe custody.
Ensure compliance of internal processes.
To assist in monitoring factoring/loan exposures and related data/information on clients are properly captured and updated in the relevant systems during on boarding, disbursements and repayments.
To coordinate the necessary notices statements and memos for internal and external needs.
Assist Superior to maintain a reporting format for finance, management and statements to clients.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Must possess at least a Post Graduate Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Banking/Accounting/Marketing/Business or equivalent.
Minimum 3 - 5 years experience in Banking and/or other Financial Institutions, involving Credit Administration function. Those with experience in a Factoring Company and/or Commercial/SME Banking have an added advantage.
Fluent in English & Bahasa Malaysia, both spoken and written.
Competent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office software, particularly in Word and Excel.
Competent knowledge of overall Credit Administration processes. Knowledge of credit facilities processing practices, methods and procedures.
Experience in processing of documentation and releasing of SME, Commercial, Corporate or Syndicated loans/credit facilities is preferred.

Current business activities of MAAG include; Investment Holding, Education Services and a general insurance business via MAA General Assurance Philippines, Inc.

Notwithstanding the aforesaid business portfolio, the Group is currently engaged in an extensive search for additional new core business(es) to further diversify its income streams.

As at 31 December 2018, the Group’s total assets stood at RM757 million.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience working in retail industry is compulsory.
Strong analytical skills to identify trends and sales patterns.
Experience managing a team and working cross-functionally with marketing, product, and external partners.
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Problem solving skills and handle any unforeseen circumstances.
Possess own transport and willing to travel within Klang Valley Area.
Able to work from Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m and Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
