General Responsibilities
· Develop an annual marketing plan with specific goals and budgets as outlined in the hotels’ marketing plan.
· Prepare working plans to achieve goals and meeting deadlines.
· Prepare monthly report and media clippings summary.
· Organise, supervise and direct photography for advertising, collateral and public relations purposes.
· Ensure the department has a comprehensive master photo library for all advertising, collateral and public relations activities.
· Oversee MARCOMs budget & track expenses to ensure cost effectiveness and ROI
· Manage MARCOMs monthly expense forecast.
· Establish and upkeep strategic partnerships with external parties.
· Monitor competitors’ activities and market intelligence and be-proactive.
· Produce the MARCOMs related Annual Marketing & Budget Plan
· Collaborate with partners on co-op advertising efforts & events
· Foster strong media relations & generate media coverage.
· Pitch and negotiate for exclusive event coverage or special feature stories
· Plan, organise & coordinate all regional & brand events
· Evaluate sponsorship requests & manage on-ground activation of sponsored events
· To perform any other duties that may be assigned by the Management.
Public Relations
· Pitch appropriate story angles to media with objectives and story targets.
· Act as official spokesperson for the hotel when appropriate and respond to all media requests.
· Compile and maintain a comprehensive list of media contacts and take full responsibility for the key media by maintaining and developing close relationships, both local & regional.
· Invite target media for hotel tour, invite media to experience restaurants, bar and spa. Identify media photo opportunities and liaise with various departments for the photo shoots.
· Prepare press releases for appropriate targeted media, locally, regionally and internationally as per the PR activity plan. Proactive pitching to secure media coverage.
· Secure opportunities, direct and attend hotel sponsored events, and develop targeted partner relationships.
· Plays a key role in community, government relations and VIP activities.
· Create and organize press promotional activities.
· Identify target media in top market segments and work with Accor Regional Office for press trips.
· Responsible for all media initiatives to project a positive image for the Hotel at all times.
· Disseminate press releases and letters for the Hotel.
· Conduct press blitzes when appropriate or/and coordinate with corporate office.
· Ensure press kit information is comprehensive and kept up-to-date.
· Spearhead the growth of hotel by enhancing market presence & developing the brand’s relationship with key business partners.
Advertising
· Work with respective HODs on the rooms and food & beverage tactical advertising campaign creative and media plans.
· Maximizes advertising budget by ensuring that the hotel’s creative message and media activities are consistent.
· Review the hotel's market segmentation and other appropriate marketing reports to ensure that the media scheduling matches those segments.
· Monitor and maintain media schedules as well as prompt settlement of invoices.
· Manage the A&P spending and budget.
Digital Marketing
· Ensure timely and accurate website updates on information and promotions
· SEO audit to keep hotel’s websites on page one of search engines
· Monitor and review SEM keywords and results, together with head office.
E Direct Marketing
· Identify need areas, conceptual planning of eDM activities, and oversee their execution with various departments and the direct marketing company.
· Take an integrated approach to eDM activities, ensuring a consistent and quality image is projected.
· Monitor and review the response rates (via corporate office) on the eDM blasts to improve and take corrective measures.
Social Media
· Develop and implement the hotel’s social media strategies by increasing traffics/fan base/engagement with interactive activities.
· Explore new social media trends that would appeal to hotel’s target audience.
· Develop and implement influencer marketing strategy.
Collaterals
· Coordinate and execute production of printed materials (guest collateral, brochures, F&B promo brochures), with assistance of executives, following the specifications stipulated in the corporate ID manual.
· Manage F&B forms and Accor Plus submissions
· Ensure best priced quotations and raise purchase requisitions for all production and printing related services.
· Copywriting for all hotel collaterals, brochures, website, newsletter etc.
· Supervise and budget for quality gift items as appropriate. Ensure correct usage of hotel logo on gift items as stipulated in corporate ID manual.
· Assist the various departments in their collateral production.
· Supervises the production and quality of all displays and temporary signage in the hotel public areas.
· Update of in-room collaterals.
· Monitor and approve all collaterals with hotel mention.
Miscellaneous
· Coordinate with other departments to ensure the smooth-running operation of the job functions
· He/she may be called upon to undertake other responsibilities in accordance to the requirements of the management.
· He/she may be called upon to assist on special mission or replacement in commercial or administrative department of the hotel.
Team Management
· Interview, select and recruit team members

· Constantly monitor team members’ appearance, attitude and degree of professionalism
· Develop, conduct and maintain all staff training programs for team members, focusing on their development needs, providing them with new skills to meet the changing needs of the business.

· Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times
· Be aware of the hotel fire & life safety/emergency procedure
· Perform other reasonable duties assigned by the assigned by the management
