Main Responsibilities
Job vacancy for an experienced competitive swim coach to take the lead of a team of competitive swimming coaches and athletes with the following key responsibilities:
- Plan and support athlete participation at local and overseas competitions, and other development activities as requested by the Club Management.
- Completion of all required administrative works, including timesheet submissions, squad programming, attendance, competition entries, and other documentation.
- Actively work closely with the Club management to support all Competitive Swim squad programs, training camps, clinics, and swimmers’ recruitment.
- Promote and develop a strong profile of the Swim Club in the swimming industry.
- Promulgates the Swim Club philosophy and values, achieving a positive identity in the community.
- Lead the delivery and planning of training sessions across various age groups and abilities.
- Implement age and ability-appropriate skill progressions determined for the coaching team.
- Contribute to the success of swimmers in the Club through performance.
- Leading the recruitment of volunteers for the organizing of swim meets.
- Organise Swimming Camp and Training Camp, twice per year.
- Work closely with Club Management to coordinate, schedule, and organize various aquatic events for the swimmers in the Club.
- Ensure training facilities are available, well maintained and equipment is stored and well managed.
Job Requirement Qualification / Skills
- At least 6 years of swim coaching experience, inclusive of Competitive Swimming training.
- Produce swimmers at Singapore National Age Group or Singapore National Swimming Championship with Medals podium or Finals A, within the last 5 years.
- Provided swimmers to the National Team, National Training Centre, or the Singapore Sports School.
- Produce swimmers with success in Direct School Admission (DSA) for Secondary School Education.
- Attained ASCA Level 5 Swim Coach certification.
- Produce Swimming Race Analysis and provide feedback to Swimmers and parents.
- Apply Swim Video Stroke analysis and provide feedback to Swimmers and parents.
- Possess interpersonal skills and the ability to relate confidently with parents and students.
- Computer literate (Microsoft and Google applications, Hytek and Team Unify software, Apple hardware).
- Experience working in collaboration with internal and external parties in the swimming industry, in particular the Singapore Aquatics (formerly known as Singapore Swimming Association) and various club head coaches.
- Selected as Team Coach for TeamSINGAPORE for Age Group Competition and above.
