Job Summary
This Position Is Responsible For Performing Clerical Administrative Functions In Support Of The Department.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position is responsible for one or more of the following functions:
1. Log financial information into appropriate system.
2. Complete special projects as assigned and report on their completion.
3. Monitor and report mailing issues.
4. Order Explanation of Benefit as necessary.
5. Open, batch, and distribute incoming/outgoing mail.
6. Operate scanner and verify accuracy of scanned items. Initiate any needed correction.
7. Ensure proper maintenance for scanning equipment.
8. Order claim copies via cold storage and/or image systems.
9. Copy, fax, answer and route telephone calls, obtain and maintain office supplies, retrieve and archive documents and other functions in support of the department.
10. Prepare, sort and batch claims/non claims, reports and inquires for distribution.
11. Research and enter data into the computer system.
12. Copy documents, sort, and distribute to appropriate personnel as needed.
13. Prepare and submit daily production reports.
14. Complete daily Individual Operator Record (IOR).
15. Type forms, labels, letters, mail as appropriate.
16. Maintain accessible and up-to-date suspense files. Provide follow-up on application requests.
17. Assist in analysis, research, and entry of changes to existing accounts.
18. Maintain inventory control of supplies required for mailing of application and confirmation packets.
19. Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with co-workers, management, customers, etc.
20. Comply with HIPAA, Diversity Principles, Corporate Integrity, Compliance Program policies and other applicable corporate and departmental policies.
21. Maintain complete confidentiality of company business.
22. Maintain communication with management regarding developments within areas of assigned responsibilities and perform special projects as required or requested.
23. All other duties assigned by management.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
* High School Diploma or GED.
* 3 months experience.
* Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
* PC proficiency to include Microsoft Word, Excel, and Lotus Notes.
PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS:
* Referral preference given to applicants able to take and meet testing criteria.
* Ability to lift up to 45 pounds.
NOTE: Please disregard #9 of the Responsibilities. This task will not be performed by this role.
This is a full-time in-office position with the possibility to work on a hybrid schedule after 6 months based on performance.
