Job Summary

Opportunities open for full or part time Clinical Nurse Specialists of various clinical specialties in both our Grand Rapids and Regional locations! If you are a licensed CNS we want to talk with you about your clinical expertise and help you find the best role to take your career further!

The Clinical Nurse Specialist is an influential leader for a program or area of nursing practice. The advanced knowledge and skills required for this role include clinical expertise in a focus area, evidence-based practice, collaboration, consultation, education, mentoring and change leadership. The specialized knowledge and advanced practice nursing skills are used within three major areas of impact: patient/family, nurses and nursing practice and the organization/system.

In collaboration with other members of the health care team, the CNS leads, provides, enhances and improves health care delivery by evaluating nursing practices, developing methodologies, establishing standards of care and providing consultative services. The CNS is a clinical expert in the theory-based and/or research-based nursing practice within a specialty area.

Clinical Nurse Specialists are REQUIRED to obtain their nursing administration or professional/specialty certification within 12 months of assuming the role, or within 12 months of achieving eligibility to sit for the exam if not eligible upon hire in to the role.
