POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Credit Monitoring & Control Specialist will support the Bank’s Credit Risk Management/ Risk Analytics Departments, to help analyze, identify, mitigate and control data integrity risk across numerous data elements.
This position is a key role in the Bank’s Risk Management Department and reports to the Credit Monitoring & Control Team Lead. Review both traditional and complex credit approval documents (credit underwriting/ loan presentations) for the purpose of:
Ensuring proposed loans structures are in compliance with the Bank’s credit policy
Provide ongoing support to promote portfolio transparency
Ensure Quarter End risk reporting processes are done efficiently and accurately; Determining proper note code, collateral code and federal call code for each transaction to ensure accurate reporting to internal and external audiences.
Conduct quarterly/monthly reviews of one or more key Credit Risk data elements.
Provide support to other functions within the Credit Risk Management/ Risk Analytics Department.
Solve a range of straightforward problems.
Analyze possible solutions using standard procedures.
Participate/lead in projects associated with the department.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledgeable in credit approval process, credit structure and ability to comprehend the Bank’s credit policy
Familiarity with Federal Call Codes and other related loan codes and the awareness of how loan codes impact financial reporting
Experience leading risk and control assessments, root cause analysis and scenario analysis.
Ability to partner effectively with peers, senior management and business partners

The Underwriter within Citi’s Institutional Credit Management (“ICM”) Credit Underwriting ABS team works with the ABS business team and ICM Credit Analysts to provide oversight of the underwriting of a multi-billion-dollar portfolio of asset securitization transactions financed primarily through the asset-backed commercial paper market. Participating in diligence sessions with third parties including brokers, LPs, and GP managers
Operating and maintaining complex financial models to evaluate and sensitize returns
Prepare and present an investment thesis via investment committee memos and meeting
Support deal teams in transaction management, including overall process organization, negotiations with sellers and execution of closings
Prepare presentations to investors, firm partners and other counterparties
Assist in ongoing fund performance monitoring and portfolio analytics
Develop a network of contacts in the secondaries industry through deal flow, due diligence activities and attendance at industry conferences
Education/Experience Required:
2-3 years’ experience in investment banking (leveraged finance preferred but not required), credit or secondaries principal investing, credit valuation or restructuring advisory services
Strong analytical capabilities, financial analysis, writing and presentation skills
Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and financial modeling
Successful candidates will have a proven track record of leadership skills, and a strong record of academic achievement
Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and work both independently and in a dynamic team environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills, and a professional, polished demeanor
Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to handle and thrive with increased independence
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field

The anticipated base salary range for this position is listed below. Total compensation may also include a discretionary performance-based bonus. Note, the range takes into account a broad spectrum of qualifications, including, but not limited to, years of relevant work experience, education, and other relevant qualifications specific to the role.
