Centerstone’s Research Institute is looking for an Unpaid Intern:  Remote position for evaluation team.  80% of the position involves data collection and data entry.

Intern Duties and Responsibilities

• Intern will work with evaluation team to conduct enrollment interviews with active clients following this procedure:
  • Contact eligible clients over the phone within seven (7) calendar days of attending their first qualifying appointment.
  • Obtain informed consent from client or caregiver.
  • Conduct required client-level service questionnaire through survey management software, if consent is provided.
  • Enter and maintain records in data management database.
• Intern will participate as an active team member in the implementation and maintenance of grant projects (e.g., provide ongoing information from client interviews for project improvement, etc.).
• If desired, the intern will have an opportunity to analyze aggregate client data and present to relevant stakeholders.

The SSA Internship Program provides individuals who are currently enrolled in or accepted for enrollment and seeking a degree, diploma, or certificate in qualifying educational institutions/programs with developmental experiences in the Federal Government. The Program is intended to provide clear paths and potential careers in the civil service.

This program provides substantive, developmental work assignments that prepare incumbents for placement in a target position in one of the occupational series covered by the Legal and Kindred Occupational Group. The incumbent will be given orientation to SSA and basic orientation in the functions and operations of the organization. Some of the of the duties may include: Assisting permanent professional or technical staff in their regular assignments; subordinate technical work, or related clerical work; resolving recurring problems; searching files; contacting others for information or compiling reference materials to complete assignments.

Starting at $34,179 Per Year (GS 4-5)

The Internship is designed to provide an intensive one-year experience in management of small animal clinical cases under Staff DVM supervision. The training program will utilize Staff doctors of VCA California Veterinary Specialists and approved out rotations.

 

•Provide clinical care in the role of a veterinarian, i.e. examine patients, order tests, make diagnoses, prescribe treatments, and communicate with clients and referring veterinarians, for patients presented to their assigned Service.

 

•Participate in the clinical and tutorial instruction of extern students, including daily student rounds; and other duties as assigned

 

•Participate in Journal club, attend all Hospital Rounds/Seminar sessions and other seminars which are requirements of the Intern’s assigned Service.

 

•Provide clinical care in the role of a veterinarian in the emergency duty schedule (evening, weekend and holiday duty on a rotating schedule) with other members of their assigned Service.

JOB PURPOSE/SUMMARY:

The Finance Internship in CenterLight offers an opportunity for a motivated individual to gain practical experience in the field of finance.  This internship program provides hands-on exposure to various financial process and activities allowing interns to develop essential skills while contributing to the success of our organization.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist with AP invoice submissions through Workday.
• Assist in the development and testing of Finance department miscellaneous workflow and P&P’s.
• Support the collection, organization and analysis of financial data.
• Work with different teams of the finance department to assist in different projects on ad-hoc basis.

Weekly Hours: 40

Schedule: 8:30AM - 5:30PM

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:     

Currently pursuing a degree in finance, accounting, computer science or other quantitative fields.

Experience:   

• Proficiency in Excel and other MS Office applications.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly organized with an attention to details. The ability to adapt to and lead change in a business environment is also critical.
• Must be a quick learner and efficient with time sensitive/high pressure deliverables.
• Interest in pursuing a career in healthcare Industry.

Job Summary

• Under general supervision of a Sr. Engineer, the intern will work in a variety of assignments to provide general support to the engineering group.

• The intern’s assignments will make a positive contribution to BD Medical as well as give the intern opportunities to gain “hands on” work experience with the intent of training the intern for the potential of starting a successful career after graduation.

• This is a part-time internship at BD's Sandy, UT location. Interns are expected to work a minimum of 15 hours per week while also enrolled in school. Candidates must be able to commute to Sandy, UT.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily project or emergency support to engineering, operations, or maintenance departments

• .Work with production personnel to understand and improve operation of production equipment.

• Work with production maintenance to develop the ability to perform routine troubleshooting and repair of production equipment.

• Assist an engineering project leader by completing technical tasks such as design and solid modeling, coordinating purchasing or assembly of components, and implementing improvements using standard validation processes.

• Act as an engineering representative for TPM teams led by the Sr. Electro-mechanics. Intern will help the TPM team identify, isolate, and solve reoccurring production problems.

• Intern will learn validation principles through BD validation training and then apply them under the supervision of a project engineer.

• Intern will learn the basics of the six-sigma methodology through “Six-Sigma Lite” training and will apply them in day-to-day problem solving.

• Act as a team leader for smaller engineering projects or short-term production support projects.

• Comply with all local, state, federal, and BD safety regulations, policies and procedures.

• Comply with all local, state, federal, and BD safety regulations, policies, and procedures including RCRA Hazardous Waste regulations.

• Comply with all local BD quality policies, procedures, and practices through consistent application of sound quality assurance principles.

• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited University/College Engineering program; preferred majors are Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Biomedical Engineering.

• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

• Must be able to commute to BD Sandy, UT office.
