We are looking for a Material Planner in Luxemburg, WI.
The Materials Planner will oversee assigned category/categories of direct material requirement planning for our US manufacturing network. This includes running MRP, placing PO’s with vendors directly, tracking them through delivery, and PO close out. The expectation is all required materials will arrive on site to allow for continued production or aligning internal parties to rectify any shortage concerns. In addition, this role requires a strategic data driven analytical mindset to drive optimal inventory throughout the supply chain.
Perform planning and operational procurement for raw/pack materials and semi-finished goods towards suppliers and internal organizations.
Create material requirement plan for assigned category/categories wile communicating to internal stakeholders to understand constraints.
Execute the PO process from issue to supplier, routines follow-ups, and ensure on time delivery.
Complete PO close out with proper reconciliation, if required.
Work to manage and resolve near term issues, including communicating and escalating in a timely manner to stakeholders (procurement, production, scheduling, Supply and Production Planning etc.).
Manage the releasement of sub-inventory where needed, to move raw/pack materials stored outside to the manufacturing plants in a timely manner.
Manage and report KPIs such as inventory accuracy, aging inventory, and material shortage or overages for all planning horizons.
Work closely with Supply Planning to understand short to long term material requirements.
Strategic materials management such as mitigating long lead time item concerns, bulk purchasing, and network alignment.
Perform system health checks of planning parameters, data accuracy, and ensure BOM consumption accuracy to optimize planning accuracy.
Collaborate with Procurement team to maintain good relationship with suppliers, contract compliance, and provide inputs for supplier performance.
Interpret and analyze complex data and trends and develop recommendations and strategies based on analysis.

Job Description:
As the Materials Planner, you will perform a variety of scheduling and expediting duties related to material requirements planning. You will determine the resources necessary to ensure an uninterrupted supply to support production and sales. You will primarily be concerned with raw material or finished/fabricated parts that are required in accordance with manufacturing schedules.

Customer Ready Upgrade system:
Maintain and update stock status of all Customer Ready Upgrades.
Collaborate with Engineering team to create and maintain new Customer-ready kits.
Monitor and interpret inventory turns for Customer Ready Upgrade kits.
Advise stocking strategy.
Streamline customer down situations by releasing the design BOM, issuing the parts, close the MO, and update on-hand.
Aftermarket Rapid Response/Purchasing/Part Shortage responsibilities:
Proactively monitor parts shortages.
Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Purchasing teams, as well as vendors to expedite materials that may compromise ship dates for projects.
Transfer parts between warehouses.
Identify and report potential problems with vendors, parts, and/or orders.
Work with Engineering team to find alternative parts to reduce Cost and/or lead time.
Reduce Lead time and Cost for parts by exploring options between vendors.
Lead Aftermarket Planning Responsibilities:

Planner:
The hiring salary range is $60,850 - $76,063 annually.

OVERVIEW OF DEPARTMENT & POSITIONS
The Aurora PROS mission is to encourage active lifestyles and create healthy environments for people, nature, and community. The department is made up of seven divisions that work collaboratively to accomplish this mission. These current openings are in the Planning, Design & Construction Division.
The ideal candidate will be motivated, passionate and proactive with a strong ability to perform work to support current or long-range planning functions. We recognize that some applicants may have skill sets and career aspirations focused more toward carrying out a specific role or responsibility for which the planning team is hiring. Current Planning Position – The primary focus of this position will be to review and analyze development projects for consistency with city code and to help shape the future of the PROS system as the city continues to grow and develop. The position will work closely with the development community to build positive relationships and to update city policy and code, as needed. The individual in this role is expected to have technical expertise and progressive experience in some or all the following areas: site plan and civil construction drawing preparation or review, master planning, land development, and site design for a wide array of project types preferably with primary exposure to the parks and recreation discipline. Cross-training can be expected in this role so that the candidate can assist with long-range planning initiatives and special projects, as needed.
