The Opportunity
The College of Nursing at the University of Central Florida (UCF) invites applications for two full-time, 12-month, non-tenure earning instructor or lecturer positions in the Department of Nursing Practice. The selected candidates will primarily teach clinical and didactic courses related to general and specialty nursing care across the lifespan. Positions will be located on the UCF Orlando, Cocoa, or Daytona campuses and are expected to begin Spring 2024, Summer 2024, or Fall 2024. The appropriate rank (i.e. instructor, lecturer, associate lecturer, or senior lecturer) will be determined based upon the selected candidates’ credentials and prior experience. The selected candidates will work collaboratively with colleagues, remain actively involved in professional organizations, and actively participate in College of Nursing faculty governance.
Responsibilities include:
Teach direct clinical portion of courses (i.e., inpatient units) in any of the following areas: pediatric; adult; families (including women’s health, labor and delivery, postpartum, and newborn care); psychiatric and mental health.
Teach on-campus labs and simulation activities related to clinical courses. Applicants will be provided training and mentorship to facilitate simulation as part of clinical courses.
Teach didactic courses in one or more of the following areas based on experience: pediatric; adult and critical care; families; psychiatric and mental health; and other didactic elective courses, as qualified.
Plan, organize, and deliver instruction to promote student success.
Support and promote the College of Nursing mission and departmental processes centered on excellence in teaching and learning.

The Opportunity
The College of Nursing at the University of Central Florida (UCF) invites applications for three full-time, 9-month, non-tenure earning instructor or lecturer positions in the Department of Nursing Practice. The selected candidates will primarily teach clinical and didactic courses related to general and specialty nursing care across the lifespan. Positions will be located on the UCF Orlando, Cocoa, or Daytona campuses and are expected to start Spring 2024 or Fall 2024. The appropriate rank (i.e. instructor, lecturer, associate lecturer, or senior lecturer) will be determined based upon the selected candidates’ credentials and prior experience. The selected candidates will work collaboratively with colleagues, remain actively involved in professional organizations, and actively participate in College of Nursing faculty governance.
Responsibilities include:
Teach direct clinical portion of courses (i.e., inpatient units) in any of the following areas: pediatric; adult; families (including women’s health, labor and delivery, postpartum, and newborn care); psychiatric and mental health.
Teach on-campus labs and simulation activities related to clinical courses. Applicants will be provided training and mentorship to facilitate simulation as part of clinical courses.
Teach didactic courses in one or more of the following areas based on experience: pediatric; adult and critical care; families; psychiatric and mental health; and other didactic elective courses, as qualified.
Plan, organize, and deliver instruction to promote student success.
Support and promote the College of Nursing’s mission and departmental processes centered on excellence in teaching and learning.
Collaborate with department chairs, faculty, and peers in planning, organizing, and developing curriculum.
Advise, mentor, and role model professionalism for students.
Advise and mentor earlier career faculty (as appropriate to rank).
Service (and leadership, depending on rank) on department, college, and university committees.

The Opportunity
The School of Social Work (SSW) at the University of Central Florida (UCF) invites applicants for a non-tenure earning, 12-month lecturer and assessment coordinator position to begin in Fall 2024. The position reports directly to the director of the School of Social Work. The selected candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate level social work courses, they will lead the school’s program assessment in collaboration with the school’s director and faculty while serving and participating in meaningful service at the school, college, university, and community levels.

The selected candidate will contribute to STE and the Exceptional Student Education program’s mission and vision at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Primary responsibilities for this position include:
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses.
Advise undergraduate and graduate students.
Supervise field and internship field experiences.
The successful candidate will also be expected to:
Work collaboratively with the faculty to enhance program decisions and ensure program requirements are met.
Demonstrate professional communication and interpersonal skills.
Have a commitment to working with community partners to preferred qualifications.
Minimum Qualifications:
Ph.D. or Ed.D. from an accredited institution in a related field by time of appointment.
At least 3 years of K-12 teaching experience in Exceptional Student Education (ESE).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience preparing students for careers in both traditional and non-traditional educational settings.
Experience in working with or teaching undergraduate and graduate students.
Experience as a leader, facilitator, or coordinator of an educational program.
Experience with clinical supervision of interns at the university level.
A record of commitment to communicate and work collaboratively with faculty, various programs, and students.
Demonstrated commitment to work with community partners.

The Opportunity
The School of Social Work (SSW) at the University of Central Florida (UCF) invites applicants for a non-tenure earning, 12-month lecturer position to begin in Fall 2024. The position reports directly to the director of the School of Social Work. The selected candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate level social work courses while participating in meaningful service at the school, college, university, and community levels.
Housed within the College of Health Professions and Sciences (CHPS), SSW is recognized regionally and nationally for the superior quality of its educational offerings and contributions to clinical social work, health care, scholarship, and service to the community. The school has 34 full-time faculty, 14 staff, numerous adjunct faculty, and over 900 students. We offer a BSW, an MSW, and a Social Work track in the Interdisciplinary Public Affairs Ph.D. program. The Opportunity
The College of Nursing at the University of Central Florida (UCF) invites applications for two full-time, 12-month, non-tenure earning faculty positions in the Department of Nursing Systems at the rank of lecturer, associate lecturer, or senior lecturer. The selected candidates will primarily teach in the online RN-BSN program, and other online courses in our graduate programs, as qualified. Positions will be located on the UCF Orlando main campus and the expected start date is Fall 2024.
The selected candidates will work collaboratively with colleagues, remain actively involved in professional organizations, and actively participate in College of Nursing faculty governance.
Responsibilities include:
Teach in the online RN-BSN program, and other online courses as qualified, for our graduate programs.
Plan, organize, and deliver instruction to promote student success.
Support and promote the College of Nursing mission and departmental processes centered on excellence in teaching and learning.
Collaborate with department chairs, faculty, and peers in planning, organizing, and developing curriculum.
Advise and mentor students and earlier career faculty (as appropriate to rank).
Service (and leadership, depending on rank) on department, college, and university committees.
Minimum Qualifications:
For all levels:
Earned doctorate in nursing or a health-related field from an accredited institution by date of hire.
Graduate degree in nursing (master’s degree in nursing if doctoral degree is not in nursing).
Unencumbered RN license. Florida licensure expected by date of hire; multi-state endorsement required within the first semester of contract.
For Associate Lecturer:
Five or more years of academic teaching experience (online, hybrid, and/or classroom) at the baccalaureate level or above as demonstrated on CV.
A consistent record of excellence in teaching and service to colleges and universities as demonstrated by teaching/course evaluations and CV.
For Senior Lecturer:
Five or more years of academic teaching experience (online, hybrid, and/or classroom) at the baccalaureate level or above.

The Journalism Program at Brandeis University seeks an instructor for JOUR 107b
MEDIA AND PUBLIC POLICY, [4 credits] course in Spring 2024. The class will meet in person on the Waltham campus on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 3:55-5:15 p.m.
