What will you do?

• Provide lock-out, fuel delivery, battery jump starts and tire change services using established guidelines and quality control procedures.

• Sell, install, test and perform battery warranty services.

• Communicate with members effectively to keep them informed and to ensure their safety.

• Make sound decisions regarding the safe service of vehicles and to accommodate member needs. 

• Enter call information accurately into in-truck technology, process payments, handle cash and complete reports as required.

Do you have what it takes?

• Must be at least 23 years old (Tow Truck Driver positions).

• Must be at least 21 years old (Mobile Battery Technician & Roadside Assistance Technician positions).

• Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent.

• For Towing positions - must be able to obtain Virginia Towing License

• Possess and maintain a valid driver's license for the state where you reside; and maintain all state and local licensing requirements.

• Ability to pass a physical examination as required by Department of Transportation and/or Company policy.  

• 3 years of experience in an automotive/mechanical environment, or technical school or a minimum of 3 years of experience in a sales and/or customer service role is preferred.

GENERAL JOB DUTIES:

POSITION REQUIRMENTS

Knowledge/Skills/Education

Working Conditions:

POSITION REQUIRMENTS

Knowledge/Skills/Education

The Opportunity

This Utilities position works out of our Altavista, VA location in the Abbott Nutrition Division.  

What You’ll Work On

• Receiving Operations: Create very accurate & legible documentation, perform data entry accurately, maintain all applicable databases with needed information, and efficiently process inbound pallets through the proper process
• Loading, Unloading, Casepicking, Barcoding and Palletizer Operations: Perform all tasks safely, assure accurate documentation, follow all process procedures / guidelines, assure trailers are loaded to meet weight requirements, and perform all tasks in an efficient & effective manner. This includes safely operating the palletizer equipment and shuttle wagon/switcher to meet business needs
• Shipping/Receiving Office Functions: Assure all documentation is accurate, address people in a professional manner, assure all databases are accurately maintained with timely entries, assure BOL's are signed/dated by Common Carrier Driver and the Clerk during the shift
