The Anesthesia Department staff physician reports to the Chief, Anesthesia Department, Surgical Service. Routinely performs outpatient and inpatient examinations, determines diagnoses, and initiates treatments based on Anesthesia education and standard of care.Serves as a consultant to other medical center staff and trainees. Major Duties:
The Urologist, Specialty Care, is a creative, experienced and dynamic leader and visionary with strong administrative, interpersonal and organizational skills. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm; Alternate Tour of duty may be required to include evening hours and weekends.
On-Call: Weeknight and weekend telephone and virtual on-call duties for the Behavioral Health Inpatient Care Unit (BHICU) located at VA Sacramento Medical Center. On-call rotations last one week, can be conducted from home, and are usually Friday-Thursdays, including weekends and holidays. The rotations may include discussion of potential admissions to the inpatient psychiatric unit, evaluating patients requiring seclusion and restraint, evaluating emergent psychiatric consults on the medical/surgical, and rounding on the inpatient psychiatric unit during weekends and holidays. Psychiatrists generally are on-call three to five times per year.

• Prescribe controlled substances in accordance with scope of practice for Physician Assistants.
