• Responsible as a lead doctrinal developer and analyst, expert researcher, and author of strategic, operational, and tactical joint doctrine and publications relevant to Civilian Harm Mitigation and Response Program (CHMR).
• Conduct substantial research and rewriting to organize, balance, and complete deficient doctrine, manuals, guides, and reports.
• Continuously review published materials and recommend revisions or changes in scope, format, content, and methods of reproduction on a regular and recurring basis to ensure USSOUTHCOM material and information is up to date.
• Coordinate with the USSOUTHCOM staff to explicitly incorporate CHMR considerations in operational and contingency plans involving allies and partners, coalition campaign plans, and other similar planning documents.

In this position, you will serve as a FEMA spokesperson to delivery disaster information to media outlets.

Typical assignments include:

• Creating media lists and facilitating contact with media representatives.

Responsible for development, design, writing and sending of weekly e-mail, text and website updates for the Vandenberg community.
