The Opportunity:

Work with the Executive Director to manage GPII administrative tasks.

Housed within the Division of Public Safety, Cornell University’s Public Safety Service Team (PSST) members provide safety, security, and customer service across the Ithaca campus. The PSST will perform patrols of designated areas of campus to report suspicious or hazardous situations, conduct checks of essential university facilities and equipment, and provide polite and welcoming assistance to guests and community members. PSST members will provide critical static security for high-profile events, from sporting events to student events to invited speakers. They will participate in the planning for critical incidents and play important roles in any campus-wide emergencies.
PSST members are also on call to be dispatched to emergency situations where they will ensure scene safety for other responders by such means as de-escalation and traffic control. PSST members will routinely work in integrated response teams that may include members of Cornell University EMS, Environment Health & Safety, Student and Campus Life, the Community Response Team, Cornell University Police Department, and regional agencies. PSST members are unarmed safety and security professionals who play a central role in ensuring a safe, respectful environment to all those on Cornell’s campus.
What you will do:
The PSS Team Manager will lead the team of unarmed security professionals to provide services to include campus response to active lockout calls, safety lighting surveys, and partnering with the Cornell Police in providing event security, campus safety services, crisis response planning and management (shelter in place, evacuation, environmental emergency), and foot patrols/emergency response in coordination with DPS peer organizations. The PSS Team Manager will report to the Associate Vice President for Public Safety and will have a dotted line relationship to the Cornell University Police department. The successful candidate will serve as a Senior International Relations Officer. Serves as the point of contact between RES management and staff and designated staff in other NRC offices, Executive Branch agencies, foreign regulatory bodies, and stakeholders in assigned countries to plan and implement international nuclear safety and security cooperation and assistance activities. Plans, manages, organizes, assigns, and coordinates RES international activities. Responsibilities include: initiating and renewing bilateral and multilateral International Cooperative Research Agreements with over thirty countries, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) Nuclear Energy Agency (NEA). Coordinates, implements, and plans policy, technical and logistical activities for assigned countries and international organizations in support of the NRC international nuclear safety and security cooperation and assistance activities. Recommends and formulates policies and procedures regarding International Cooperative Research Agreements, with particular emphasis on RES Code Sharing Programs. Acts as an advisor or mentor to junior staff within the team

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
Oversees and directs the functions and activities of strategic planning, evaluation, coordination, and implementation of various managed health care programs (HMO, PPO, POS, etc.) for Payor Relations. Oversees contractual relationships with managed care organizations and other third party payors regarding rate structures for services, clinical and financial reporting obligations, establishment of other business terms per FMCNA guidelines, and contract maintenance such as facility list updates and amendments.
