Section 1: Position Summary

The external wholesaler supports the growth and awareness of the CollegeChoice Advisor Plan with financial intermediaries throughout the state of Indiana (Broker/Dealers, National & Regional Banks, Independent Advisors and Registered Investment Advisors).  Working as part of a sales team, which includes an internal wholesaling partner, will be responsible for the development of day-to-day management of geographic territories within Indiana.  Reporting to the Director of Advisor Strategy, the individual will work remotely within Indiana.

Section 2: Job Functions, Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Generate sales for the CollegeChoice Advisor Plan
• Own sales performance and goals for the Plan
• Solidify relationships, generate new business, create opportunities to elevate the Plan to the financial intermediary channel.
• Work closely with the sales team to create and implement a sales strategy
• Manage administrative responsibilities according to company policies involving travel and expenses, CRM updates, calendar and schedules, conference call participation, email retention and continuing education.
• Responsible for protecting, securing, and proper handling of all confidential data held by Ascensus to ensure against unauthorized access, improper transmission, and/or unapproved disclosure of information that could result in harm to Ascensus or our clients.

• Current FINRA Registrations (Series 7, Series 63, 65, and/or 66)
• Must reside in Indiana
• Valid drivers license
• Minimum of 5 years of successful financial product sales

• Availability and ability for extensive travel within the State

The base salary represents BMO Financial Group’s hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked.

The Team Financial Advisor Development Program is designed for individuals ready to make a career transition and follow their passion of becoming a Financial Advisor. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performance Hurdles: A Team Financial Advisor (TFA) must acquire clients through personalized marketing techniques to meet minimum performance hurdles.
• Registration and Licensing Requirement: A TFA is required to obtain necessary licensing and registrations (Series 7 and Series 66 and Insurance).
• Education Requirement: A TFA is required to complete the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) Investment Planning Course and the Financial Planning course.
• Development Assessment: A TFA must successfully complete ongoing Developmental Assessments throughout the training. In preparation for the assessment, the TFA studies a variety of topics and may participate in developmental activities in the areas including but not limited to: Merrill strategy, products & services, wealth management process, desk top technology, marketing consultative sales skills and investment financial planning knowledge.

Provide advanced department, divisional and/or segment focused business and operational to include strategic planning, business relationship management, business plan development, workforce planning, reporting, data and/or budget analysis, internal/external marketing and special projects.

Business and Strategic Planning

• Build and facilitate repeatable and company-focused strategic planning processes that include confirmation of continued relevance, progress evaluation and communication to affected stakeholders.
