Job Description
Cognosante’s ER&R/1095-A project is seeking a senior technical writer with an attention to detail and aptitude for highly technical system documentation to work alongside a team of tech writers on the Process & Training Team. The candidate will focus primarily on assisting the technology work stream with writing and maintaining technical documents. The senior technical writer role is a non-supervisory role but will be responsible for coordinating members of the project team to accomplish creation and review tasks of project deliverables in a timely manner to meet scheduled client deliverables while adhering to program standards facets.
Key Responsibilities
·Prepare, review, revise, and maintain technical documents, including software and systems engineering, system operations, testing, process, system, and product documentation, and user documentation. Gather and analyze technical and product information from various sources. work closely with other technical experts, such as analysts, developers, product owners, SMEs, etc., to ensure that the information they provide is accurate and remains up to date at all times as systems, processes, or functionality is updated.
Able to understand and explain complex concepts in simple language. Ensures that documents are easy to understand to a non-technical audience.
Prepares and validates reports and presentations. Identifies, documents, and analyzes discrepancies and anomalies. Collects, documents, and analyzes the quality of deliverables.
Lead / participate in deliverable reviews with the internal teams and/or customer; ensure feedback is tracked and incorporated.
Track and manage development of deliverables to meet all internal and external deadlines and due dates.
Communicates effectively with internal and external clients, including the ability to speak to large audiences and present on webinars.
Analyzing complex concepts to provide advanced editing support to internal and external stakeholders.
Acts as an advisor to management, executives, and stakeholders.
Identifies and documents deficiencies and dysfunctionality in existing technical writing/editing processes.
Contributing to the creation and maintenance of business writing and quality resources for the project, such as trainings, templates, and style guides.
Adhere to all project and corporate standards. Be a quality gatekeeper to ensure all content meets/exceeds minimum standards.
Develops a deep understanding of the business rules, and leverages that knowledge to improve processes, recommend solutions, enhance team performance, and drive progression of client objectives.
Work closely and partner with PMO to streamline QC processes/procedures.
Supporting customer-facing initiatives by producing and editing written materials with a focus on comprehensibility, Section 508 compliance, and overall reader experience.
Maintain strong working relationships with SMEs and work partners (including trainers and project coordinators) to ensure all applicable and related documentation stays up to date as systems and products advance. Assist with release notes and communications of various formats/media.
Assists in identifying process improvements.
Assists in identifying new business opportunities and in developing and presenting proposals to prospective clients.
Other duties may be assigned.

$56,355.01 - $94,112.44The pay range for this job is determined by various factors, including but not necessarily limited to location, responsibilities of the job, and alignment with market data. When determining a salary for this role, the following factors may be taken into consideration - contract-specific affordability, education, knowledge, skills, competencies and experience. Principal Activities
Leads the design and development of products and/or processes relating to the electrical architecture
Designs analog, digital, and mixed signal, and power circuits
Investigates new technologies and best practices
Establishes best practices for engineering documentation within the electrical team.
