Physician positions are a mission critical occupation for HRSA. These positions are responsible for formulation of policy and programs administered by Health Resources and Services Administration to provide advice and assistance to Bureaus, Department of Health and Human Services, and other Federal entities as related to the medical aspects of primary health care programs for underserved populations.
As a Supervisory Physician, you will establish and direct health programs, priorities, and activities of the office, ensuring they align with BPHC and HRSA-wide goals.
Your major duties and responsibilities include:
- Providing formalized recommendations to the Associate Administrator on the legislative agenda, health policy, clinical quality and safety, program priorities, and external activities.
- Serving as an agency expert and coordinator in providing medical, technical, and administrative knowledge and leadership relative to the quality improvement and innovation of primary health care services to medically underserved and vulnerable populations.
- Developing innovative strategies and policies that support BPHC's overarching comprehensive, quality primary health care services' goals.
- Advising the Associate Administrator and Deputy Associate Administrator on public health program areas in need of realignment, strengthening, and development to support BPHC's goals and priority areas.
