As a Supervisory Transportation Program Specialist, you will:
- Provide executive leadership and direction to a team leader and a team of staff and consultants.
- Provide technical assistance, grant management, project management, and oversight for capital and operating projects designed to improve mobility and support the delivery of public transportation throughout the San Francisco Bay area office assigned service areas.
- Work in coordination with staff from the Federal Highway Administration and other external agencies to support federally established statewide and metropolitan planning regulations that are designed to ensure that statewide and metropolitan transportation planning and programming processes are carried out.
- Promote FTA initiatives such as safety, state of good repair, congestion mitigation, inter modalism, access to jobs, intelligent transportation systems, transit-oriented development, livable communities, innovative finance, and bus rapid transit projects.
The Ideal Candidate is a senior-level professional with strong leadership skills, who has managed diverse staff, fostering teamwork, collaboration, and accountability; and with transportation industry experience in developing and managing complex, high priority programs.
