Job Description:
The Grants and Service Development Specialist (GSDS) will prepare and submit grant applications to state, federal, local governments, foundations, and other sources of funding. Develop and draft documents for grant applications that will facilitate analyses and outcome reports appropriate for publication; Research and draft persuasive, succinct documents using statistics (e.g., census data, health statistics, etc.); Research and draft summaries of Funding Availability, Requests for Applications/Proposals, etc., related to behavioral healthcare; Correlate funding opportunities with agency needs and work closely with senior management and program staff to submit funding proposals within strict grant guidelines and deadlines.
Job Requirements:
Must have satisfactorily achieved all competencies necessary to advance from the probationary employee to a GSDS Level 1, as defined on the following pages. Please Note: Minimum qualifications necessary to be considered for a GSDS position at any level are as follows:
Grants and Service Development Specialist 1 (GSDS 1): Foundational and Functional Competencies to Be Achieved at 90 Days
At the end of the 90-day introductory period, the GSD Specialist 1 will demonstrate the following foundational competencies:

At the end of the 90-day introductory period, the GSD Specialist 1 will demonstrate the following functional competencies:

Job Description:
Essential Functions/Job Duties
The role of the Client Records Technician is responsible for prompt, compliant, consistent, efficient delivery and retrieval of release of medical records.
Responds to any and all verbal and written requests for information and documents in required turnaround times.
Manages multiple department email distribution groups: CFL – Central Intakes, CFL Central Records Support, CFL - HIM Auditing, CFL - Central Med Records.
Effectively communicates with all internal and external customers. Collaborates with internal departments and healthcare providers to ensure the accuracy of medical records.
Updates and reviews medical records by reviewing information, notifying health care providers of record deficiencies and tracking outside records.
Scans, indexes and quality reviews documents not entered into EMR. Follows established Centerstone and department policies, procedures, objectives, performance improvement, attendance, safety, including adherence to the workplace Code of Conduct and Compliance Plan.
Practices a high level of integrity and honesty in maintaining confidentiality.
Maintain Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act (HIPAA), Federal and State standards regarding insuring proper disclosure of Protected Health Information (PHI).
Qualifications and Skills:
High School diploma or equivalent
2 years’ experience in medical records management or related area preferred.
Good organizational skills and detail oriented
Advanced experience with computers, i.e. data entry, Microsoft programs.
Proficient in medical terminology
Comfortable collaborating with all customers
Ability to perform under pressure.
Ability to manage multiple assignments.
Regular and Reliable Attendance is required.

Work Environment/ Physical Demands:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing source documents on shelving and fax machines. This is largely a sedentary role; however, filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files to shelf and bend or stand as necessary.
Position Type, Expected Hours of Work and Travel:
This is a full-time position, and the expected work hours are 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday - 8:30-5:00. Some early morning, evening and weekend hours when needed. Minimal travel but there may be some travel between sites.
