The incumbent works with assigned groups, organizations, associations, coalitions, and partners whose constituents, and/or members may benefit from the use of EAC programs and services especially those who align with EAC's strategic initiatives or are new to EAC programs and services.
The ideal candidate will be deadline-oriented, experienced in issues management, and able to establish a marketing strategy that supports EAC's mission, operating objectives and the agency's various program divisions.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Develops and implements the EAC strategic marketing plan in collaboration with EAC senior leadership and the program divisions, establishing a clear vision for the execution of marketing and communications initiatives promoting EAC and its programs, products, and services.
- Ensures EAC branding, marketing and outreach initiatives, processes and procedures are created and maintained in accordance with the broader EAC efforts.
- Collaborates with the Communications Division to support the development and implementation of media relations strategies at the EAC.
- The incumbent will work closely with the Executive Director developing and implementing internal communications plans, strategies, and protocols supporting program and policy communications up, down, and across the agency.
- Leads, develops and maintains effective and proactive working relationships with all EAC program divisions on appropriate EAC branding, marketing, and outreach initiatives.
- Researches and responds to communication questions and requests from senior leaders and colleagues within and outside the agency.
Physical Demands: This position combines an office environment with extensive outreach activities. This will require long periods of travel using multiple modes of transportation, including the operation of a motor vehicle, Is expected to lift boxes of hand-outs, information packets, computers and other items that can weigh up to 40 pounds. Will be required to transport, set up and tear down displays and/or other equipment at trade shows, conferences, training sessions and other locations.
Work Environment: The work is performed in a variety of environments - office, hotels, community-based locations, and laboratories, and may incur exposure to moderate risk, discomfort and unpleasant surroundings. Required to travel extensively throughout the United States including frequent early morning, evening and occasional weekends and overnight travel. May be required to travel outside the United States. A valid driver's license is required.
