Job Summary
We're recruiting a highly motivated Advanced Practice Provider to join our dynamic inpatient APP team. This team consists of 20 APPs who provide critical care level cardiovascular medicine primarily in the inpatient setting. Our APP teams function collaboratively with our physician colleagues in a team based care model to provide high level cardiac care.
Functions in the role of advanced practitioner to coordinate comprehensive care delivery. Writes orders/prescriptions for standard formulary medications, laboratory, radiographic studies and consultations, coordinating the scheduling of admissions, diagnostic evaluations, follow-up exams, laboratory tests, referrals to home care, social services, and other community agencies, etc., in order to ensure continuity of care and coordination of services.
Basic Qualifications:
Education - Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant educational program
Licenses -
Physician Asst (PHYS ASST)*
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Basic Life Support (BLS) Note used for BLS,CPR & BCLS) Specific to SHMG 90 Days
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) As appropriate for patient population
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Specific to SHMG: PALS is required by specialty or stress test is performed 120 Days
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Specific to SHMG ACLS if required by specialty or stress test performed 120 Days
Education - Nurse Practitioners who obtained their education and certification after 2000 must show evidence of completion of a master’s, post-master’s or doctorate from a Nurse Practitioner program that is accredited by the Commission on the Collegiate of Nursing Education or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission
Experience - 3 years of experience typically gained through skills/knowledge/abilities in current, relevant clinical experience Previous experience functioning in a collaborative role

Corewell Health West's Women's Health Department is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants or Certified Nurse Midwives (CNM) to join our growing team at Corewell Health Butterworth’s OB Triage unit/Core Faculty Team. We have added hours and are now recruiting for a .9 FTE, which is considered full time for benefits. Our 11-bed triage unit provides excellent basic and emergent obstetric care to patients >20 weeks within one of the busiest obstetric units in the country. Our APP run unit allows independent assessment and treatment with a safety net of inpatient physicians nearby.
Qualified Candidate Must Have:
Responsible for managing patients and coordinating the services provided by multiple disciplines within and outside the health system. Maintains a collaborative practice agreement with specific physician(s). Exercises independent judgment in the assessment, diagnosis and initiation of selected protocols/procedures. Provides educational support for patients/significant others, health team members and the community and coordinates QA/QI studies to measure outcomes of care.
