UWCSEA is looking for full-time School Nurse at its Dover Campus from May 2024 on the following shift(s):

1. 7:15am to 4:15pm
2. 09:00am to 6:00pm
3. 11:00am to 8:00pm

Note: The successful incumbent will be required to work on rotating shift based on the duty roster, Mondays to Fridays.

Main Responsibilities

Reporting to the Head Nurse, the incumbent’s role is to facilitate positive student responses to normal development; promote health and safety; intervene with actual and potential health problems; provide case management services, and actively collaborate with others to promote student and family capacity for adaptation, self-management, self-advocacy and learning.

Person Specifications

• Diploma in Nursing and must be registered with Singapore Nursing Board (SNB).
• Minimum 2 years of working experience in healthcare or related settings.
• Relevant experience in school setting, paediatric setting, A&E department, and/or paramedic skill are preferred.
• BCLS & AED trained.
• A committed interest in working with school aged children, young people and their families and in providing a professional and caring service to the college.
• Willingness to undertake further formal training as required.
• Ability to prioritise, multi-task and make decisions in a high pressure environment with rapidly changing workloads and situations.
• Excellent communication skills and computer literacy.

The Opportunity:

Applications are invited for a Clinical Research Fellowship in Cardiology at the University of Edinburgh’s Centre for Cardiovascular Science (CVS) with a view to obtaining a PhD. Potential applicants should contact Professor Nicholas L Mills (0131 242 6515) or Dr Kuan Ken Lee (0131 242 6515).

Professor Mills and Dr Lee’s research interests are in health data research, cardiac biomarkers, care pathways and data-enabled clinical trials. For further details see the CVS website.

Under Professor Mills and Dr Lee’s supervision, the appointee will be required to demonstrate an ability to work independently and deliver a wide range of complex tasks. They will need to demonstrate enthusiasm, commitment and self-motivation to deliver the health data research projects. During this post, the appointee will obtain a higher postgraduate (PhD or MD) degree.

This post is full-time (40 hours per week). We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.

1. Job Purpose

This role will contribute to developing and delivering Value-based care strategies and portfolio in support of NHG’s vision for population health across the spectrum of care.

2. MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Leads in the discussions and work closely with stakeholders to develop NHG’s approach to value-based care, and key clinical priority areas of focus.

Work closely with zone teams to improve the quality, appropriateness & efficiency of care consistent with NHG’s principles of accountable care & clinical integration.

Leads in the development and implementation of value-based care tools (eg PROMs) and payment models to drive improved patient outcomes across NHG.

Works closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver key initiatives that would deliver better value to residents, patients, NOKs and staff. This will include but not be limited to the following objectives:

a. To optimize key resources’ utilization and ensure cost effectiveness

b. To work with each zone to develop and maintain a financially sustainable value delivery system

c. To benchmark NHG’s performance across the 3 zones in delivering value to patients and staff, and encourage a culture of sharing best practices

Works closely with institutional stakeholders, GAC and Group Finance in the development of Value based payment models and incentives.

Guide the executive on tasks assigned.

3. JOB REQUIREMENTS

(a) Education/Training/Experience

· Minimally a Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 8 years of working experience in healthcare

· Experience in value based care, data management, operations, strategic/corporate planning, service development and project management will be an advantage

· Experience in coordinating and facilitation of discussion in diverse groups

· Capability in translating strategic intents into operational outcomes

· To be a change agent and to inculcate mindset change for cross-institutional hospital-wide initiatives and to establish a working environment of collegiality and effective teamwork

5 years’ experience in aged care or a related area of health care, including working with people with dementia
Demonstrated experience in aged care including working with people with dementia.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Nursing, Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy with unrestricted AHPRA registration.
Able to conduct clinical assessments using a range of assessment tools.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
