Responsibilities
• Executing daily planning, issuing and following up on Purchase Orders delivery and shipment schedules.
• To perform sourcing, cost analysis, along with calling for tenders for materials to fulfill project requirements for project tenders.
• Evaluate supplier's quotation based on price, quality, specifications and delivery speed to ensure proper and timely delivery of the deliverables.
• Evaluation of materials' compliance in terms of project specifications and requirements
• Issue PO based on MRF from site.
• Emphasis on inventory control. Update DO in system & attached the DO with INV for account department further action.
• Follow up & track the delivery status. Communicate with site personnel for material quality to ensure on-time delivery.
• Assist in tendering process: collect & checking the quotation from supplier.
• Annalise & compare material rates.
• Perform any duty as and when required by the immediate superior/ HOD.
Job Requirements
• Candidate must possess at least SPM / STPM / Diploma / Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in any field.
• Required language(s): English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin is an added advantage
• At least 2 Years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Excellent organizational skills, a proactive mindset and ability to multitask and prioritize work.
• An understanding of the component pricing and cost in the industry is essential.

Leon Fuat Berhad ("Leon Fuat" or "Group") was founded in 1972 with the establishment of Leong Huat Trading & Co. We opened our doors to business with our initial business activity mainly involved in the trading of steel products. Throughout the years, we have established our name as a specialist in steel trading and processing through the incorporation of our companies, LF Hardware, LF Klang, Supreme Steelmakers and ASA Steel.
At Leon Fuat, we specialise in the business of trading and processing of steel products, with focus on flat and long steel products. Within our trading of steel products, we offer a wide portfolio comprising various steel materials, including carbon steel, stainless steel and alloy steel.
Our product offering can be further classified into two categories;
Flat steel products that consist of coils, plates, sheets as well as welded tubes and pipes and
Long steel products, which include items such as bars, rods, shafts, sections, angles as well as seamless tubes and pipes.
The Group is also involved in the processing of steel products, which is synergistic to our trading operations. We provide various value-added services in the form of cutting, levelling, shearing, profiling, bending, and finishing as well as production of expanded metal to meet specific requirements of our customers.
As part of our long-term business enhancement strategy, the Group has invested in the downstream production plant of welded steel pipe manufacturing located in Port Klang, Selangor, in order to cater for demands from existing customers and the general market. The plant houses machine with advanced pipe-forming technology, which can optimise the efficiency with minimal set up time required. The first phase of operations has begun in 2019 while the second phase development is in progress.
OUR CUSTOMERS
Since our incorporation, Leon Fuat Group has serviced a large customer base comprising manufacturers of metal products and components, fabricators of machinery, equipment and metal structures, companies within the building, construction and infrastructure industries, and hardware wholesalers and retailers, from local as well as overseas markets, namely Thailand, Singapore and Vietnam.
As at FY2019, we have more than 3,000 active customers, including customers who we have built strong working relationships with for over a decade.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Check the genuinely of supplier details and information.
• Negotiate price term, delivery term, Incoterm, payment term, and check part or model number, and warranty of related goods purchased.
• Check price, negotiation to supplier if there is possible to reduce cost.
• Check the quantity if bulk purchase is advisable or decrease the quantity or request contract purchase order
• Maintain effective communication with suppliers and customers (Use email as communication tools etc.)
• Prepare and process PO and Create supplier invoices in the procurement system.
• Track deliveries, ensure quality control of received goods and resolve any discrepancies.
• Process invoices, including accounts payable and potentially accounts receivable and managing relevant records.
• Proper record-keeping & filing.
• Maintaining supplier relationships and records of all related to purchases.
• Maintaining client relationship and records of all related to invoices.
• Provide administrative support to other departments as needed.
• Handle any ad-hoc tasks assigned.
Job Requirements:
• Candidate must posses at least Diploma
• Candidate must have a minimum experience of 3 years in purchasing
• Required languages: English and Mandarin (both written & spoken).
• Candidates fluent in Mandarin preferred as role requires candidate to deal with Mandarin speaking clients.
• Prior working experience in related field will be advantageous.
• Knowledge in Microsoft Office & SQL accounting software.
• Must be trustworthy, accountability and problem solving as need to handle confidentiality work
• Good attitude, self-motivated & attentive to details.
