We are a stainless steel mill located in Tanjung Langsat, Pasir Gudang have an opening for the position of Safety Officer. This position require the following qualification and experience.
1) Qualification :
a) must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in any field.
b) at least 3 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
c) certified Health & Safety Officer by DOSH and possess of certified schedule waste competent person will be an advantage
d) required and well verse in English & B Malaysia, teamwork oriented and multi tasker
2) Responsibilities :
a) to advise top management in term of environment, safety & health requirements.
b) to establish and maintaining of environmental, health & safety practices in line of applicable law and requirement standard set by authorities, company standard, international standard or customer compliance.
c) to maintain and enhance professional liaison and relations with the relevant authorities, government agencies and the community to further strengthen business relations.
d) to provide consultation and direction on accident prevention that can result in injury, illness and physical facility damage, civil and criminal penalties.
e) conduct and coordinate HSSE training to employees and contractors in enhancing the safety behaviour/culture at the site.
f) establishing and monitoring of ISO 45001:2018 (occupational safety & health management systems) compliance.
g) to administer Safety Performance compilation, monitoring and analysis.
h) to manage in-house security personnel and working arrangement
i) to perform and conduct Environment, Safety and Health related audit, inspection, meeting and events.
